Surgeries are scheduled and performed Monday through Friday. Surgery patients should be dropped off no later than 8:30 a.m. If your pet is showing signs of illness (runny nose, fever, etc.) or the blood work reveals problems, we will reschedule or re-evaluate your pet for surgery. Pre-anesthetic bloodwork is strongly recommended for all patients, but may be required for those with special health problems or elderly patients.
Dr. Clare Shannon is a Birmingham, AL native. She attended John Carroll Catholic High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Huntingdon College. At Huntingdon, she was a Lady Hawks volleyball player and was inducted into the College's Sport Hall Of Fame. She then attended Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 2015.
Pets are like our children - we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. The highly qualified kennel attendants at Linderman Animal Hospital do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active. Our indoor kennel is heated and cooled for your pets comfort.
Loss of appetite or loss of weight (this combination can result from diseases of many organs, and early veterinary examination is important). Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. Linderman Animal Hospital uses modern and safe ultrasonic scaling to clean each tooth thoroughly.

Dr. Scott is a compassionate woman and professional. Not just to her patients. But to their owners. Recently visited, received very unfortunate news, but I honestly had 180 for the visit. Not only was she informative, thurouh when explaining different options, with honest advice. She did an extra x-ray to show us that her diagnosis was explained was correct and with confidence as well as with empathy. Everybody's situation is different, she knew that.

I can not recommend this place highly enough. We used another local vet when we first moved to OXR and we ended up switching to Lindemann Animal Hospital and couldn't be happier. Every vet we have seen has been patient with our animals, kind, understanding and sympathetic with the cost of vet care, upfront with the treatment pricing and options, and sooo generous with their time.

The staff was friendly however one shot and a xray $287. The most I have ever been charged for a xray is $60. As for the shot my cat was given, well he isn't any better. I called to tell the vet the update on my cats health and ask if there is anything else she could do and her reply was (after you pay the $287). My point being she didn't do anything worthy of that price and should be ashamed of her fake self for PRETENDING TO CARE.The reason I was calling back to the clinic was to tell them the medicine they gave him made the situation worse.

Dr. Leah Scott is amazing! She performed my dogs surgery and took great care of her. She answered all my questions and concerns with kindness! I don’t remember the name of the assistant who brought my dog to me for pickup, but she was also friendly and knowledgeable, as is the rest of the staff!

I took my dog in after an emergency and they took great care of him immediately. Over the last few weeks we have worked with many of their receptionists, vet techs, Dr. Shannon, Dr. Johns, and Dr. O’Brian and all have been excellent and attentive. We’ve had to adapt treatments a few times and they have been quick and knowledgeable with options.

I just wanted to say thank you to the entire staff for the kind gesture after we lost our sweet Louie. It brought on a lot of tears, but we'll forever cherish his little paw prints.
You all have taken such wonderful care of our dogs the past two years. Thank you Drs. Johns, Shannon and O'Brian for always taking your time to listen to our concerns and taking such great care of Daisy and Louie.

I can't say enough about Linderman Animal Hospital and Dr. John's. I've trusted him with my pets for the last 10yrs. From my dog aggressive AM that another vet refused to see years ago to my cat who recently needed surgery. Can't recommend this office enough. Very friendly staff, the appointments are quick and the waiting time is short. They take time to explain what's going on and ensure you know the treatment options.
