We had a room with a kitchenette in it. They didn't have any plates, silverware, cups, glasses or pots and pans or coffeemaker! We used to always stay her and it was always stocked!
Parking used to be free and they changed that a few years back. My confirmation email said $17.00 a night for parking, but when I got my receipt I was charged $19.00 a night!
This place is so now run down now I will never stay here again. It used to be "our go to place" for mini vacations. They no longer have vending machines for snacks and soda and if you eat at the patio the prices of food has increased

Photos are extremely fake !! This is NOT a hotel is trash!! As soon as we went to valet parking the entrance was falling APART super dirty old building that looks like an apartment building NOT a Hotel. I came with my newborn baby and my pregnant friend for a small vacation . I am a local and wanted to get away for a little girl time. We did not check in and asked to see the room before getting everything out of the car , the ROOM WAS DISGUSTING SMELLED LIKE STRAIGHT CIGARETTES, LOOKED LIKE A DIRTY MOTEL AND WAS VERY DIRTY AND OLD!! JUST PURE GHETTONESS NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS. Never stayed somewhere worse than this . Never coming back to this dump... TERRIBLE . Do Not Book Here!!! SO GHETTO!!! They probably used the pics when they first were built. I understand you guys are by the beach but the amount of rust is repulsive. The bed springs are basically stabbing you and the room is weridly moist.. IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF DO NOT COME HERE!

Music-great! Atmosphere & location-fantastic! Food- just OK. Service - Oh my. Table of over 4 ppl. Server brought plates for everyone but forgot one. We asked 3 times before getting a plate - by then the apps were eaten. Drinks came and 1 was incorrect - ordered a Sands-gria (sangria) and got a Margarita -the person was told to "drink it anyway, honey". Someone eventually drank it but said it wasn't that good. Correct drink came and tasted like the wine had gone stale. Server apologized for the error saying "this isn't my usual section". Does that mean

This review hurts to write. we have been going to sands for years and years. usually, we dock up in our boat and have a swim, some drinks and food. today, as well as the last couple of times that we have been there, it has not been good. while for years it was a bit rundown, it was a wonderful place to bring our family and our grandchildren. the last couple of times we were there, we noticed some changes. the ownership has changed, and of course they want to make their changes to make the place theirs. but, the changes are not good. there was to be no more swimming from daytrippers (locals), you

OK this is about as honest as it gets. ...
I absolutely love the Sands and have been going there for 50 plus years but...
Times have changed, new is not better, staff is nice, parking is a joke ( and expensive) non renovated rooms are absolutely disgusting ( and expensive) elevators were broken, location is perfect, pool is good, food is so-so ( and expensive) . Who ever bought the Sands needs to step up the renovation process, hasn't this been going on for years now??
So bottom line decide what is most important to you , what you can deal with and go from there. Go when it's dark, it

Do yourself a favor and run! This place is disgusting and they're charging resort rates!! Once I got past that the hotel looks like a place from the 80's, I just couldn't stomach the chipped paint, stains on carpet, mildew in the tub, excessive dust in the air conditioning unit, etc.. The staff was too inexperienced and also not helpful. As an example, it took me 20 minutes to get served at the bar only to be greeted as if she was doing me a favor. They also charge for valet service only to drive your car 30 yards to their parking lot in front of the side entrance (no value
