It’s gone way down hill! Used to be best hotel in Myrtle Beach. I am currently still staying here only because they will not give me a refund! First room had terrible smell . Staff member told us to prop door open until she could have someone take a look. They eventually moved us to the 17th floor to a room that didn’t have the same amenities we reserved but we couldn’t stay in that room she said . So we had to cancel all our plans for the next day to change rooms . Back to the original room. The hose keepers are not cleaning like they should and things just seem run down. They gave me a

We were on the first floor and really had minimal ocean view. Our bedroom had no windows and poor ventilation. Very claustrophobic. The kitchen stove didn't fit into the space correctly...crummy burners. Needed work around bathtubs in both bathrooms. Did receive clean towels twice during the week. Problems with one of the hot tubs during our stay. Not what we expected at all

This is a very traditional American tourist hotel. It's huge and right on the beach. Fall prices are very reasonable and get a corner room for amazing views. The suites are really set up up for everything you need, oven, microwave, dish washer, full fridge and balconies. All the kitchen ware and comfortable furniture days they care about their guests.
The treetop bar sadly does not have a view and the parking building is across the road and busy but they are minor gripes, check out the 14th floor (room 1414) views.

Had my son's wedding here this past weekend. Everyone working here was great. Had rehearsal dinner outdoors and reception in the ballroom. Food was excellent and the service was outstanding! All staff were super friendly and attentive to every detail. Kim Lewis was super easy to work with and was there throughout both events. Cannot thank her and the staff at Avista Resort enough for making this such a memorable event for Jared & Carrie!

Really enjoyed our stay here! Not at all what I was expecting. Really middle of the line in terms of scale. Nothing to really complain about at all except for maybe the service at the front desk and in the restaurant. Everything was clean, it had all the luxuries that you would expect to have in a resort, such as room service and on site bars (even by the pool), and the rooms were a great size. Above average for Myrtle Beach area, which I haven't been to in many years bc I've never been a fan. Would go back, though.

From the moment we pulled in, we were greeted by James and Jeffrey! They are some awesome guys! They took your bags and escorted you to your room. They were kind, funny and very helpful and polite. They definitely deserve a raise!!!! Pay them 🤑🤑. There was other guys that sat around and didn't even offer to help you or get your bags for you, seems like they are just here to get a paycheck... Jeffrey and James really make you feel at home and set a very high standard for your resort! Thank you for your service gentlemen you are appreciated!
