I would not recommend this motel. It is very overpriced for what you get, and you won't get any sleep.
The good: it seemed clean; had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, very close to the entrance to RMNP, when I had trouble getting the door open and called the emergency number someone called back within about 10 minutes.
The bad: the doors/frames are warped making it difficult to get the door open, there may not be any management on site, the door/locks are very flimsy and I didn't feel very secure, the bathroom and shower are teeny tiny, not very accommodating for the average adult, bathroom

I completely understand that things are hard in Colorado especially with such limited staffing. When I heard the voicemail that it is just a small staff working around the clock I wanted to be as accommodating as possible. However... I was a little frustrated with communication overall and very upset with the day of check out.
I emailed a few days before arriving (since you are currently unable to leave a voicemail) to see if we could check in even 30 minutes early and got zero response. I understood that and that they could not get us in early because of that we were not able to check in till

Probably the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. Didn't expect that from the old motel exterior but we were pleasantly surprised. The bathrooms were a bit too small and we had some issues with our heater being too loud. The owners have outstanding customer service and even with how short staffed they are took care of our issues promptly. We would never have known they were short staffed if they hadn't told us. There are "nicer" places to stay in town with more amenities but we will come back to this place on because of the extra effort the staff put into their customer service, like remembering

First off we are on our anniversary trip and wanted to stay somewhere nice. Not the case with this hotel. The hotel staff was extremely rude upon check in and it went down hill from there. The rooms do not seem… newly updated at all. They are small and the walls are paper thin. The bed is rock hard, and they only give you 3 pillows. Also the “comforter” is paper thin and we had to use an extra blanket we brought. We heard the room next to us all night and got a horrible nights sleep. We also asked for new towels as we are staying one more day. The staff informed us they put towels

The room was really clean and we were so glad to have chosen this inn. Check-in went smoothly at 3:30. However, we had to leave early due to my husband's illness and have not received a response from the owners regarding a credit for the last night. Very hard to get in touch with the office due to limited staffing.

I loved staying at Alpine Trail Ridge Inn! Our check in was the smoothest and most efficient ever, thank you! Our room was great. It had really nice touches, like the throw blankets at the end of the bed and the USB ports on the outlets. Our room was also spotless! I loved that the room had so many windows to open up to enjoy the fresh air. The location was unbeatable and I appreciated being so close to RMNP, we were able to hear the elk bugling through the window. Thank you very much for such a nice stay and I look forward to coming back again and again.

This hotel was a joke. It looks good online but very deceiving once you get there. We were very sure we booked a king and we only got a queen and the bed was as hard as a rock, I'm pretty sure it was a box springs. I went and talked to the lady at the window and she said we only booked hey queen, and when I told her about how hard the bed was her suggestion was to use the fleece blanket in the bottom drawer for extra cushion. The bathroom was very small, the shower was maybe a 2x2 I could even bend down to shave my legs with touching to side (ewww) and the shower handle cane off when you

Nice cute little motel close to the Rocky Mountains. Clean, cozy, and comfortable.
My only complaint is that the screen door leading to the balcony in my room was kinda broken. It was not properly on the sliding bar, meaning that it doesn't slide open and closed properly. It still opens and closes, but it takes some effort. It also makes it so that it doesn't fully close; there is a gap at the top big enough for bugs to get in. Yes, there is also a glass door, but if you want the screen only, bugs might get in.

We were on a road trip to Colorado for our son's wedding and this was our final stop in Estes and prob my most favorite hotel on our trip! I was surprised by how roomy this room was!! we checked in late but the owner called us to make sure we were still coming and left our key for us so there was no issue, the room was so gorgeous and again sooo roomy - we had a balcony with a view of the mountains ... the bathroom was even gorgeous (had to take a pic lol) we stayed with family and they were next door so we were talking to each other from our balcony the next morning... I can't say enough

Great for the price! Room was clean, and the balcony view was great as well! The renovations were also very nice. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave which was nice to have. Shower had great water pressure and temperature. Only thing was it was a little loud but with the air conditioner on you can sound it out. Either than that would definitely stay here again!

We were very disappointed with our recent stay at this place. Unless you are desperate I do not recommend it. This is basically a low class motel. The rooms have been recently renovated which is the only positive thing I can say about it. We rented two rooms and we were not given any paperwork when we checked in. In the AM while getting ready to depart about 6:15 AM the power went out in one of the rooms. There is no one in the office until 8 AM and there is supposed to be a 24 hour number you can call to get support - very difficult to locate this number - they don't want you calling

Fair warning: we had pretty low standards. Our main objective was having an inexpensive and half-decent place to spend the night over NYE in Estes... This inn ended up being an awesome find! We knew the rooms were going to be small, but both rooms we got were comfortable, nicely done, and had a couple features we weren't expecting. The hot tub was running (even at -2°) with plenty of towels available. The fire pit was stocked with more than enough wood to use the whole evening. It's close to downtown Estes and walking distance t a handful of restaurants. The staff was gracious and helpful

Place is actually very nice. Rooms are updated and very clean (although very small). Staff is very accommodating. Great location.
Only complaint would be the amount of people they allow to stay in one room. The room next to us had at least 7 people so it was constant chaos. These rooms are not big enough for more than 3 people.
Otherwise I'd stay here again no problem. Great place.

Great room and well kept. The view is amazing and it's located close enough to downtown Estes that things are easily accessible, but far enough out that you don't need to worry about the congested traffic. Very close to rmnp as well. The only knock is the WiFi (it's bad), but it's not a big deal as you'll spend most of your time outside of the room and enjoying all of the activities he area has to offer!

We enjoyed the view from the balcony in our room. I liked how each room has their own wifi router and password. Wish we could have tried the hot tub but it was raining way too hard for a soak outside; the hot tub and pool area looked nice, next time hopefully. The King size bed was very soft, we had a great night's sleep.

They cancelled my reservation that I made through Expedia because it was advertised as reserve now, pay later. They would not honor what was advertised and told me I had to pay a deposit. While I was… inquiring with Expedia about this, the very next day, this place cancelled my reservation. Horrible customer service. I sent them proof and they still would not honor it. The lady that called me was very rude.

This is a great spot.
Jay, the owner just recently ran cat5 cable to every single room, and upgraded the internet to 30mbps with a router in each room. I Skyped with my wife and didn't get any hiccups at all. It used to be 5mbps, hence the previous complaints. Now it's much better.
Rooms are in good condition, modern, good sized: (32" LCD).
Good coffee in the office starting at 7am.
I would definitely return here.
