Locally-owned and family-operated, the Hotel Estes is located in Estes Park, CO, and is close to both the downtown area and the Rocky Mountain National Park. The hotel offers complimentary wifi, continental breakfast and parking. Guests are also welcome to enjoy our seasonal outdoor pool, hot tubs, and picnic areas.
I have wanted to stay here on prior trips, but we had never booked in advance before, and it was always full. Now we know why. It's a beautiful property just a mile out of town, well-kept and without road noise. We enjoyed the rustic style of the building, the pool and the hot tub. Beautiful and comfortable room, and the continental breakfast was very good.

Hotel Estes is, as reviewed by many others, an excellent place to stay. Accommodating as they can be, with a breakfast that lasts until 10, so that guests can truly feel like they are guests, and not mere customers being rushed to get up and get out. That is just the tip of the iceberg as far as what this hotel offers. Speaking of which, their off season (winter) prices are *extremely* affordable. From the home-like furnishings in the rooms, the attached restaurant, to the s’mores offered nightly by the fire pits outdoors; Hotel Estes is more of an experience than just a hotel.

This hotel was lovely. The staff was super friendly and let us check in early when we arrived sooner than we expected. The room we had was great, a lot of space. The front desk staff even offered us a selection of DVDs when we asked (although we realized later we didn’t have a DVD player in the room…). The view is gorgeous from. The breakfast was great, easy to eat there in the quaint lobby or take to go as well. Overall a great stay for a weekend and for a great price too.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Estes Park in Colorado. This lovely restored cabin like motel on the main strip in Estes Park is perfect to the National Park, mountains, hiking trails and The Stanley.
The front desk staff is exceptional especially Grace! Thank you so much for being joyful and helpful after a year of “yuk“
Breakfast was great bagels and cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, tea, cereal and more.
Totally affordable price and family friendly with pool, hot tub, playground and fire pit

Arrived and it’s great. Great views.
Oversized queen room has a lot of extra floor space. Large mini-fridge. Small microwave. Long desk area. TV has satellite with many channels. Wifi is strong. The grounds have a lot of things to do. Propane grills, charcoal grills, fire pits, swing set, jungle gym, small play set, pool and jacuzzi, popcorn in lodge center. Very nice area. Our stay was great, I don’t think we have any negatives to report other than the room had a bit of trash behind a piece of the furniture. I only found out because a personal item fell behind it and had to get it out. Staff

It’s an okay lodge/motel (not a hotel), so it’s basic with no view or service. It’s located within a few miles of Rocky Mountain NP, so the location was great. There were a few eateries not too far away. The room was clean, but quite aged. The included continental breakfast was limited, but okay for a quick breakfast. The room rate was on the high side, but that may be the norm for the location been so close to the National Park. If this motel is located in Louisville Kentucky or Kansas City Missouri, it would be charging sub $50. So I guess in this case, location is everything. I’m not

Though an older hotel, they have kept it current. Very cabin feeling with wood trim and wooden furniture. Great TV system. Wifi. Super family friendly. Accommodating in every request. Pool and jacuzzi. Great continental breakfast. Coffee throughout the day. Smores and popcorn at night. Fire pits. Playground. Highly recommend!! Very impressed!

Cozy and clean rooms. Definitely has the vibes of an older motel/inn that has been redone. Our room had two queens which were nice beds. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Most of all we loved the small community feeling of the inn. We met several other families there during the nightly s’more making around a campfire (provided by the hotel). We will be back again! I recommend for families!

This hotel has a great pool/hot tub ,fire pit and grill but it really lacks in its room by one thing! THE BEDS!!! The beds are incredibly firm or so it's not comfortable at all! And the pillow are so worn out that they are all flat! This place had the potential to be a 5 stars hotel but the beds really just show how it's not!

The hotel is not bad for the price.
The beds were soft and comfy. The room was clean and had a cabin type feel. You could hear the people above but not as bad as many places I've stayed in the past.
The breakfast was ok. I do not ever expect much when free breakfast is offered so I wasn't disappointed. It's nice to have a little starter in the mornings to help save some money and save having to stop for coffee and breakfast.
The girl working the desk last evening for our late checkin was super nice and friendly.
I wish we could have enjoyed the pool but we had places to explore

This hotel looks amazing but leaves you staying in feces. . Upon arrival the hotel looks as promised and has great views but the good experience stops there. I had to listen to other guests sitting right outside my window being extremely rowdy until almost midnight and when I entered my room the toilet was clogged from a prior guest. I inquired about a plunger to fix the issue and the front desk kept assuring me they would bring one to no avail. Finally, I called and explained the toilet hadn't been working nearly 24 hours and how I had called numerous times for a plunger and the front desk

The room is fine and they do what they can for morning breakfast. The only issue that I had was the doors... the door automatically locks when you walk out of the room and the lock uses a key chain not a card key so if you don't have your key with you then you have to walk all the way to the front desk. The front seat is sometimes closed so if you go out for a smoke and the door closes behind you... you will be locked out in a blizzard with freezing temperatures. And if you walk up to the reception office there isn't even a number to call to get back in your room... thank god I found

We were so pleased with our stay. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. The room was really clean ( smelled really good too), and the amenities at the property were nice. WiFi worked well which is a must for us when we travel. I also must say that Audrey at the front desk was super! She was pleasant and helpful which made our stay stress free. Will definitely be back!

We are really enjoying our time at Hotel Estes. Conveniently located 5 minuets from downtown (with a Safeway grocery store in between) you couldn't ask for a better location. Surrounded by other hotel/motels in a "strip" for vacationers, it's comparable to other locations except this hotel has a real family feel. While other hotels have some similar amenities, this places goes the extra mile to make visitors feel at home.
There are multiple BBQs and picnic tables available for use. There's even a fire pit for cooking up s'mores. When we returned after dinner tonight

Absolutely in love with this place. The staff is very kind and generous. The furniture has a very cabin like feel. But the view is the best part!! Every day I have come out to take pictures because it is just absolutely stunning. One thing I didn't like that wasn't even related to the hotel was the Blue Door Inn's lights at night. It does ruin some pictures I have taken and it distracts from the scenery. There were many workers from another company being very loud yesterday but I do understand they have a job to do. At least that was during the day. The hot tub was very nice and

My adult son and I stayed here and were very happy with it. We stayed in a single room with 2 queen beds. It had a microwave and mini fridge in it and free WiFi. Everything was in working order from the shower to the heater. We were able to easily park in front of our room to unload and load. They have a large parking lot and you could easily see your vehicle which I really liked along with the view of the mountains. They have a small play area for children and a small area for cooking. It also has an outdoor fireplace to keep you warm. It was too windy the night we were there so we stayed indoors

This place is so great. Incredible place to come back to after a long backpacking trip. We took full advantage of all the amenities. Great hot tub for sore muscles from hiking all day. They also had a fire out front where you could make s'mores! And they provided everything for s'mores. Couldn't recommend this place more. Comfy beds too! And the service was so great. Definitely take a drive through Rocky Mountain National Park and end your day at this lodge.

Great place to stay and we plan to come back one day. The staff was great, the hotel was clean, the rooms were up to date, and the town was great. The view was incredible from the room. The view was worth the price of admission so to speak. I decided on five stars but almost hit four stars for one fault. I could not get the room cool enough for me. The room was not hot but not cool either. This was only a small fault and in other areas they went above and beyond to make up for it. Great place!

We had a great trip in Estes Park, and Hotel Estes definitely fit into the "atmosphere". It is no 4 star hotel, a bit more rustic, but that is what we were looking for. They have a nice little picnic area with fire pits and plenty of grills and a lot of trees. They also host a campfire every night with s'mores. Not a fancy place, but clean and affordable with mountain views.

We were visiting estes park during the 4th of july holiday and there were no vacation rentals available whatsoever! So we ended up staying at hotel estes. I have to say that i wasn't excited about my stay. But i left with a very positive experience.

Hotel Estes was a fantastic place to stay for our Rocky Mountain National Park vacation!
The staff was beyond friendly, the continental breakfast exceeded our expectations, and the room was great. The mountain view out the window was beautiful and the bed was far comfier than fancy boutique hotel bed we crashed on the night before...and the Hotel Estes room was half the price!
Great place for a mountain getaway...we will definitely be returning in the future.

Overall, above average and better than we were expecting. There's quite a bit of trash or construction/maintenance debris all over the property. Perhaps they're in the process of renovating or refurbishing.
The good: decor is updated, beds are comfortable, plenty of pillows, rooms are very clean, two club chairs plus a desk chair, lighting is good, hand-held magnifying mirror in the bathroom, plenty of space for luggage, large dog kennel, and lounging, outlets are adequate but not abundant, hook on back of bathroom door.
Not so good: 20-minute walk to restaurants, Starbucks, etc.,

I love this hotel!! Arrived after office hours and staff left my key and note in the mailbox--office staff is so incredibly friendly and like to visit with guests who linger in the cute lobby. Bed linens are Ralph Lauren and very comfy, as well as nice soaps and cozy, clean room. Plus I didn't have my pup with me, but saw that this hotel is pet friendly (especially loved the standard poodle hanging out in the lobby).
Small breakfast bar in the mornings with toast, boiled eggs, muffins and cereal. You can sit with your coffee and visit or read in the lobby any time of the day. Very friendly
