If you haven't already heard, Dr. Desmond is expecting a baby in October! If your pet is due for annual exam and/or vaccines and would like to see her, please call now to schedule early in September. I have been going here since I was a kid and they first opened. I moved back to the area some years ago, but had stayed with my vet. Recently there was an issue with my vet, and Charlestown animal hospital was the first I thought to call. The friendly staff, and commitment to the animals they care for, has not changed over 20+ years. Thank you for being a clinic I can rely on and trust with my family members with fur!

I am from out of town, and they worked me in when my pet needed to be seen. They then followed up a few days later to check in on her and see how she was doing. They were all incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I’m so thankful for them!

Last night, Dr. Claire and Reza came to our home because our kitty Doofie had to be euthanized. They were so compassionate and professional and they stayed 2 hours total with us. Doofie passed peacefully. Dr. Desmond took care of him and diagnosed him a few weeks ago with FIP which isn't currently curable but there is a drug that WOULD have if it were available in the US. I can't say enough about how wonderful ALL the people at Charlestown Animal Hospital were to us.

We called as an emergency due to our Gloden accidentally ingesting our other dogs medication. We called after hours and got an immediate call back. The Dr. was very caring and reassuring as to our next steps. Thank you so much for helping us stay calm and our Golden Samson.

This was some of the best service we have ever received. Our dog got hurt while we were up here on vacation. They spoke with us on the phone the night before and got us in the very next day. They treated him like he was their own dog. They were kind, professional and reassuring. I’d recommend their services and facility to anyone in need of a good vet.

Great place to bring your furry little kids! We have quite a few pups and we bring them all here where we feel the love and compassion without the stiff rates and itemized this and that’s. The folks at CAH are kind, wise, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful in all that they do. They cared for our elderly pup like he was their own, going above and beyond with their care; they walked my mind through the intellectual maze of his health issues, and walked my spirit gently through an emotional year to his final breath. They are truly the best humans we know. And now they are caring for our puppy - we wouldn’t imagine going anywhere else! 💜

Claire and all the staff are caring, professional and very knowledgeable. They take the time to know the animals thus providing them with the best of care that is appropriate for the situation. No needless medication or stressful procedures; just sound, practical and compassionate medical care. Highly recommend this veterinary clinic.
