At Cheshire Animal Hospital all pets undergoing surgery, whether it is a routine spay or neuter or a complicated orthopedic pinning, receive the same level of care. We recommend pre-surgical bloodwork if your pet has not had bloodwork done in the three months prior to surgery. This especially is important if your pet is older than five years or has special health concerns.
We accredit veterinary hospitals! Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals are not required to be accredited. Veterinary hospitals are evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence in order to become accredited. AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine.
Here at Cheshire Animal Hospital we understand the meaning of Community, without the support and assistance of people in our area we would not be a leader for Veterinary care. And in return we believe that as a company we should give back to the community both near and far. Every year CAH gets involved not only in Animal Welfare but also in supporting people in need in the community.
Cheshire Animal Hospital, an AAHA accredited, 3 doctor, small animal hospital, is seeking a part time or full time associate veterinarian to join our team. CAH practices state of the art medicine, surgery and dentistry. We are a progressive hospital utilizing in-house laboratory equipment (Abaxis and Idexx), digital x-ray, digital dental radiology, universal ultrasound, cold laser therapy and electronic medical documentation (Avimark software).

I really like this place, I don't like it when staff uses the excuse that they are short staffed for a reason. I don't want to hear that. Are my dogs going to get short care? That is not a good thing to say to a customer

Since moving to Keene, over 3 years ago, I have found CAH to be very professional and thorough in caring for my cats. Only doing what is absolutely necessary to maintain their optimal health. They are treated just like the individuals they are not ailments to be treated. I would recommend them to any pet owner who wants the best.

Called them because they were the first place open in the area. They told me that west side animal hospital was on call and to call them. Then when I called west side it was an automated message saying if it’s an emergency call Cheshire animal hospital… so that’s cool

They are so compassionate, not just to our dear pets but to the humans too. they manage to balance the needs of the animal with the budget you have without making you feel guilty.. and though they are so kind they also don't sugarcoat it or try and talk you into longer or increased tests.

Dr. Pearson came to our home yesterday and helped our 14.5 year old yellow Lab leave this world. It was a peaceful passing, and we were next to our good boy, he was not anxious and was at peace, I am so glad we were able to do this for him. I can not imagine a kinder or more compassionate man than Dr. Pearson, It takes a special kind of person to do this type of work and he was the perfect person for a very difficult situation, my wife and I will always be grateful to Dr. Pearson for how he handled this. Rest in Peace Hubbard, you were and always will be a very good boy.

Been a new customer here now for about 3 or 4 months and been here about four or five times already and let me tell you it is one of the best vets I have ever brought any of my animals to ever. They answer all your questions in there very very nice I would rate this place five star out of 5 star. And the doctors here absolutely fantastic

I brought my young cat here on an emergency, no appointment, hoping they wouldn't turn us away, they didn't. They looked her over and monitored her, ultimately had to refer us to the animal ER, but I'm really grateful they didn't turn us away. Thank you all very much!

I've been taking my dog here for 10 years. The staff is fantastic and caring and very responsive. Anytime my dog has had an issue, they always do a follow up call to see how she's doing. I've had issues trying to give her medications and they got her right in and gave her an injection instead. They were also able to get her in sooner than expected (she's been having dental issues) and had an appointment a few weeks out but called me with a cancellation to get her in sooner. Everyone is so good with her, I love this place!

Love Cheshire Animal Hospital. Dr. Jeff Pearson was compassionate and caring when it was time to say good bye to our family member Sprout after 17 years. Izzy is a handful sometimes when visiting(energetic Lab puppy) but they always treat her with respect and kindness. The staff is always welcoming and kind. I am glad we found Cheshire Animal Hospital when moving to the area 2 years ago.
