History everywhere While I have visited the Petoskey area many times and stayed in several other places, this was the first time I along with a neighboring couple, had stayed at the Terrace, dined in the 1911 Restaurant and really wandered through Bay View. All was up to expectations even if the rooms in this historic property are on the small side.

We have enjoyed multiple stays at the charming and historic Terrace inn.
We have had experience staying in two of their larger rooms with a fridge and sitting areas. Very pleasant. It is a historical building so be prepared to here the usual sounds of a historical hotel during your stay including foot traffic overhead and creaking floorboards.
The staff is accommodating and the daily breakfasts delicious with plenty of places to lounge and sit.
We walked the back way into town several times which is not a busy road at all and takes about 15 minutes.

We stopped by the Terrace Inn randomly in 2011, and decided to purchase their elopement package. Everything was perfect. In 2021 we returned and stayed in the same King jacuzzi suite and it was just as great. Patty and Moe are the best, and the ambiance is so romantic. Just a wonderful, casual, and relaxing place to visit.

I have enjoyed staying at this wonderful gem, The Terrace Inn, over the years. We traveled to the Inn during several seasons and all were met with delight. Over the past few years, enjoying the "Jazz Weekend" has been one of my favorites. The staff has always been so accommodating, and the ambience of the Inn is always there as a reminder of more simpler times, when people took time to enjoy and "smell the roses", sitting on the porch, sipping my tea, before exploring the various wine tasting facilities.

I absolutely love The Terrace Inn. I have visited four times, and every experience has been positive. The twin rooms were great when I traveled with a friend or my daughter. I've also stayed in a king suite with a hot tub twice - pure luxury! The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. I will be returning!

Exactly what we imagined. First time in Petoskey, the Terrace in and 1911 Restaurant was the highlight of our 1-day, 1-night stay there en route to Mackinac Island. The overall quaintness of the old-fashioned lobby and terrace with a view of the park below and the friendliness of the other visitors and staff made for a perfect experience. The room was also quaint and beautiful with a mattress so high they provide a step stool, and a view of quiet colorful neighborhood below. Dinner, drinks and breakfast food was all delicious and served with genuine care and smiles. A walk from the hotel to the

We had a pleasant stay at this very historic inn. The neighborhood is excellent, the inn is surrounded by hundreds of historic cottages, opportunities for architecture appreciation were many.
Our room was nothing special, small, with old, squeaky twin beds, but it was adequate.
The breakfasts were good, with eggs, etc., but the hot food could have been hotter.

My extended family visited the Terrace Inn in June 2021. Due to the pandemic, it was the first time we had all seen each other in over a year. The staff at the Inn were fantastic, the location perfect and the accommodations quite nice and very charming. Daily breakfast was delicious as well. I would highly recommend the Terrace Inn as a destination for couples, families and extended families.

We have had the pleasure of being Terrace Inn guests several times in the last two years and it’s like stepping back in time. The intimacy and attention to detail by the owners and staff are incomparable. The room, amenities, setting and considerate staff made our stay a breath of fresh air. Look forward to many future visits.

Our little visit was more than two years ago and we still talk about it! It's the most unique hotel experience in town. Everything feels historical, like you've been transported back in time. But the biggest surprise was how delicious the complimentary breakfast was in the morning.

What a wonderful experience we had here. The property is aptly named "1911" for the year it was built and the owners have done a good job keeping things as close to the original as possible. The restaurant was fabulous. The chef has created many wonderful meals and appetizers. The drink selection was nothing to shake a stick at either. The batista made one of the best old fashions I have ever had.
All in all this is a wonderful destination and I highly recommended it if you are looking for something with an old world charm.
