No heat for entire stay in dozens of rooms throughout hotel. No hot water. Poor communication throughout stay (meaning they lied about it being fixed and/or didn't respond). Waited for hours for maintenance to come to "fix it" and often never arrived. They kept moving us to different rooms that didn't work either. There were people everywhere angry and being lied to. They just kept promising it would be fixed "soon." We wasted our entire vacation and freezing without one even lukewarm shower in four days. There isn't even a duvet on the bed, just a thin overlay and temps in Charleston were really

We were so excited to stay in this hotel after seeing the photos on the website and because of the great central location. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly and given the key to our room. The room was adorable-- trendy decor, lots of space, and the record player with their own "Emeline" mix record was a great added touch. The outdoor fireplace and courtyard is a great spot for grabbing dinner or cocktails.
We did, however, have a few issues during our stay-- we ran out of hot water on the second night of our stay. We called the front desk and they said that there was an issue with the water

Stopped at Frannie & The Fox for a quick bite to eat as I was staying at the Emeline Hotel in September of 2021. I arrived around 4pm and sat outside in the courtyard to enjoy the ambiance and the happy hour menu. I actually only ordered the happy hour olives (beans, orange zest, rosemary) and I also ordered "Rosemary's Bambina" which, on the menu, is a nonalcoholic beverage consisting of grapefruit, citrus, rosemary, and topo chico. I opted to add a little bit of alcohol to it as well. This was the recommendation of the waitress when I tried to order a drink that was "sweet

From valet, checking-in and checking-out, Emeline made our stay very comfortable. They gave us a free upgrade which is always a plus. I like that they provide fresh fruits 🍌 🍊 everyday near the water dispenser on each floor. I like that the ice were all packed and ready to go. The room was clean and so neat to stay in. The bed, however was too soft for us. Otherwise, Emeline is a perfect hotel to stay since everything is walking distance. Everyone was so nice and kind. Thank you Emeline

Virgin venture to Hotel Emeline's Frannie & The Fox. Weird name for great restaurant. Went with two January birthday girls to celebrate our collective birthdays.

The menu may be limited -- however the wood-burned cuisine is exquisite. Royal Red Shrimp with tomato, gain, and burnt lemon. Wood roasted green beans with smoked garlic and lemon. Divine! Fennel sausage pizza with provolone picante, red onion. Pizzaiolo chopped salad with oregano vinaigrette. Hanger steak with broccolini and taleggio fondue.

We sipped on *mocktails* -- No'groni -- gnista wormwood, "gin" simple

Atmosphere was delightful. The outdoor space is beautiful, especially in the evening. Our server was amazing as well. We ordered the meatballs and pizza (both to split) and it was enough for 2 people! Both amazing. Definetly will be back!

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday and I felt so bad that he wasted his money. When we arrived we were told the room wasn’t ready so we left our items with valet and walked around for a bit. Valet was AMAZING! They were so kind, helpful and seriously the best part of the hotel. When we came back to check on our room around 4:30 our room still wasn’t ready and the front desk staff didn’t care that we needed to get ready for our dinner reservation. They were not very kind throughout our stay. We finally got them to switch our room. Why have a check in time if it isn’t accurate especially

We stayed here for my husband’s birthday. We live in Charleston so it was a staycation for us. I had heard good things about the hotel’s restaurant, Frannie and the Fox and their rooms on their website looked nice so I booked us a “upgraded” king room. It was not upgraded at all. First, I’ll start with the positives. Great location, right on Market so if you are a tourist that is a plus not really important to us though. The bartenders at Frannie and the Fox are very knowledgeable and the cocktails are great. The outside patio with it’s brick fireplace and bistro lighting is beautiful

Extremely disappointed with our stay in this hotel. The location is excellent for someone out of town. The staff and our stay however were beyond poor. MAKE CERTAIN if you decide to stay at this hotel that they do not have a wedding booked. You will be treated as a secondhand guest otherwise and nothing in the hotel is for you any longer. The staff was completely overwhelmed and could not answer even the most basic of questions related to the area or provide even a 1 star hotel service. I was told by the front desk they would give me a contact's business card to call for any questions I had and

This hotel is in a very touristy but charming and central location. Great ambiance in the lobby and restaurant. Beyond that, I would not say the experience is worth the cost. Whatever you do , don’t let yourself get booked in room 126. Between the constant hallway noise all evening and being located next to the bathroom , you are also hearing a never ending succession of toilet flushing. It’s a very sub-par experience for a 300+ / night room.

The hotel itself was nicely decorated. Staff was pleasant. Location was good. Had food and coffee a few times and that was good too.
My experience with the room however was horrible. I had a ground floor room, close to the lobby. Can clearly hear conversations of people coming in the lobby from 11PM to 2AM. This was on weekdays. I wonder what the weekends must be like. Can hear loud resonate noises coming from the garage underneath the hotel in the early AM hours. This is despite having a white noise machine going. I'm normally an 8 hour sleeper. Here I got maybe four hours of low quality, in

The hotel was in a great location in the historic area of Charleston. We stayed for four nights. Upon arrival (which was late, around 11 pm) they actually upgraded us from petite atelier rooms to one of their suites. They had a big decorated Christmas tree in the lobby (we visited in early December). It was a very comfortable room in a mid-century bohemian style that was very cozy. The bed was a comfy pillow top. The bathroom had been updated and had a bit more modern feel. We did use the mini Cooper they offered one of the days and that was fun :) the interior courtyard in Frannie and the fox

While staying at the emeline hotel this past week, I got to experience this fantastic place. This is just for the bar area, not did the food or the hotel itself. As someone who is 6 months sober, it is awesome to see places offer mocktails. After briefly scanning their menu, I saw the non-groni. What an awesome mixture of delicious flavors. The bartender, sorry I didn't get his name, was more of an artist than a bartender, and created the perfect drink. It had all of the flavors of a negroni and none of the alcohol. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back.

Gorgeous hotel, almost retro and extremely comfortable! The rooms are big and well decorated with a great record player! The robe is the comfiest robe that I ever had in hotels. Bonus points for the water fountain in each floor and the amazing restaurant downstairs! Wow - most definitely staying there again! (But do not trust them with dry cleaning!)

I loved that this restaurant was right in our hotel Emeline! It was definitely convenient and I loved the service, food, cocktails, wine, etc...all of it! If you are staying in Charleston you must check this place out. The vibe is great! The interior of this place is to be admired too and they also have an awesome fireplace on their patio which was right across from our room. We were always here from 3-5pm everyday for happy hour. They didn't offer a ton of stuff, but their White Negronis were a must. The day before we left we had dinner here too which was perfect. Their Rigatoni was delish

We stayed at Hotel Emeline and were so thrilled Frannie & The Fox was downstairs. We love dit so much we came 3 times throughout our trip to Charleston! Ate here for an early breakfast/brunch, and also had cocktails twice in the evenings.

The menu changes based on time of day FYI. But if they still offer the peach cocktail it was to die for! I'm literally craving it right now. Super nice staff, fast service, cute vibes.

In the heart of the City & their food has the heart of the City!
Scrumptious Brunch fare!
Appetizers were the Blue Crab Fritters. FULL of crab, a bit loose but needed a touch of salt and heat. Five came in a melted Queso sauce (think Tostitos type cheese sauce), which, one was filling. They're the size of golf balls.
Also, had the fresh Mozzarella. This came with Gardineire and slivers of Prosciutto & a cubed slice of Focaccia=AMAZING!!!!! Would go back for this alone!
Hanger Steak & Sunnyside Up eggs with smashed potatoes and hearty, crusty slices of toasted sourdough were made

Charleston is definitely one of those cities that you need rezzies for every restaurant you eat at (including this one)! With that being said, we didn't know this and didn't make one lol. BUT, we waited around with a drink and luckily 2 seats opened up at the bar - WOO.

We ordered the chef's chopped salad - dressing was very tasty and the white pizza (I can't remember the name). Both were really good. The menu isn't too overwhelming, which helps make decisions on what you wanna order.

Will I be back? If I'm in the area craving Italian, yupyup.

Frannie & The Fox is a cute restaurant inside Hotel Emeline. If you want to get a spot here make sure that you try to snag a reservation - we walked in one night and lucked out snagging a spot at the bar!

The outside area is incredibly cute in the evenings when they turn on all of the lights and the fireplace. It's a definitely one of those 'instagramable' locations.

The bartender was extremely friendly, and gave us great suggestions for drinks at the bar. The food was extremely delicious (we got a pasta dish and the mushroom pizza). I would definitely go here again.

One of our favorite places in Charleston for food and ambiance. We came in first for dinner and had two of their pizzas and some cocktails outside. The outside area is really cool. Has a large outdoor fireplace, nice lighting, and a very comfortable and fresh look. Very enjoyable sitting out on an evening. Cocktails were made exceptionally well and the pizza as very good...would highly recommend the sweet pepper one. Our waitress was genuinely friendly and helpful. The inside is decorated so well that I ended up taking a bunch of pictures. Really cool and trendy looking place. Also something to

I came here with a large group of people. (I'll get my complaining out of the way first). Therefore we were forced to do family-style. The food was terrific but I felt the price was pretty steep when compared to the normal cost of the entrees. Although the food was terrific and I will be returning, I'll just make sure to leave my friends at home ;).
The location is gorgeous, they have a beautiful outdoor area including a brick fireplace. Fellas, be prepared for your companion to drag you out for a "quick picture." The staff were pleasant and wore masks. Management checked in

Our server Erin was so enthusiastic and full of joy! She made our meal special. The ambience was fun and relaxing. The courtyard was amazing and I wish we could have sat there . They do have a kickass happy hour in the courtyard.
We were only be able to get a table only because we were staying at the Emeline. The Taleggio pizza was amazing with the funky cheese, hot honey and pepper. So glad I tried that. Rigatoni with lamb ragu was delicious as well. The drinks were great and the panacotta desert was amazing. If we are ever in Charleston, we hope to eat there again !!

I love how amazing Frannie and The Fox is and what a great job they did at decorating and turning the old motel around.
I visited for drinks and desserts after dinner one night and was enchanted by the apple tarte a la mode and the excellent selection of cocktails. The staff is really kind and welcoming and our server was always attentive and responsive.
I do wish they had space heaters in the patio so that I can continue to visit through the winter.
