Zero George Street
Timeless design is fresh and inviting at Zero George, where classic beauty and sublime detail beckon. A sense of wander and wonder go hand-in-hand at Zero George - your portal for exploring Charleston's endless delights. From fine linens on lux beds to Nespresso at the ready and wine on your piazza, we can't help it-spoiling you is simply what we do.

Zero George offers amenities aplenty. Enjoy our classic bicycles for a breezy Charleston tour or just linger with morning coffee on a cushy wicker sofa. Our circa 1804 hotel is quintessentially Charleston, but there's plenty more to this world-class destination. From sunset sailing to private contemporary art tours, Zero George tailors exclusive experiences for our guests.
Services
Whether traveling on business or for pure indulgent R&R, Zero George delivers Charleston's premier boutique hotel experience. Named after our actual street address, Zero George is comprised of sixteen lush guest rooms and studios in three painstakingly restored historic residences and two brick carriage houses that surround our private garden courtyard.
Our location at Zero George Street, just two blocks from the Charleston harbor, is in Charleston's Ansonborough neighborhood, named after Captain George Anson (1697-1762) who as a 26 year-old sailor in command of the H.M.S. Scarborough was sent to protect Charleston from pirates. Anson bought the land from his winnings at cards, and Ansonborough became Charles Town's first suburb, laid out on lands outside the walled settlement.
When guests at our award-winning Zero George Hotel kept telling us they wish they could stay longer-much longer-we listened. Now we proudly announce the Residences at Zero George. Five exquisitely designed private residences available for up-to-twelve month extended stays, with all the luxuries and amenities of a boutique hotel at your fingertips.
Enjoy a glass of sparkling as we orient you to the property, then after a day of exploring, savor wine and cheese on your piazza. Our complimentary Zero George European breakfast features local favorites (and decadent!) Callie's Biscuits as well as our house-made granola and other fortifying treats delivered daily as Room Service.
Due to the historic nature of our buildings, we do not have elevators. Because our buildings are 3 stories with stairs, please call our 24/7 front desk to request a first-floor room prior to your arrival. Is there ever! We are home to Zero Restaurant + Bar, which is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 5 - 10 p.m.

There's so many great, luxurious lodging options in Charleston but I think Zero George still stands above. Elegant and understated sums it up. Their service team and concierge were excellent - from emailing me restaurants that would be open xmas eve and xmas to offering us the use of the Residents fitness center since it wasn't being used.
The amenities are first rate - received a bottle of Veuve and lovely candle at check in; Malin-Goetz bath toiletries; Le Cruset coffee mugs; AMAZING breakfast spread and nice small cheese plate and wine for HH; and so on.
We stayed in a Veranda King - room

Very upscale establishment. Had a lovely cocktail there and enjoyed the gardens, etc. Frankly, I guess my expectations were too high as I expected a 5 star experience. I had to drop one star as the place could stand to be a bit more meticulously maintained. For example the ceiling above the porch where we had our drink was stained from water damage and was patched by an amateur. Further the furniture was dated and stained. For this $$$ I expected more. Don't get me wrong...We enjoyed the visit and would return but attention to detail is important.

Such a special spot and what a wonderful stay. It feel like being a guest in a beautiful Charleston house with the privacy and service of a hotel. Loved the bed, the linens, the decor, the setting, the staff, the drinks, the bikes. It was a cozy spot to return to any time of day or night and so well-located! Yes, you can hear distant street noise from E Bay St but it is a city after all. And honestly it didn't bother us a bit. What a lovely, relaxed, friendly and helpful group working there- from the kitchen staff we met when checking in, to the friendly suggestions from the font desk, to the last

What can you say. It is not inexpensive or even pretend to be less than what it is - a high end dining assault on your senses. And I mean it in a very good way. The wine program is top notch. The service is impeccable, even more so during the Covid-explained Armageddon that we all are living through. The setting is cozy, memorable, special without being stuffy or overly formal. All in all, if you can - do go.

Want a Michelin Star experience in Charleston? THIS IS IT!
Executive Chef Vinsons creative genius will take you to another level.
First off the FLAVORS were incredible and the food design and plating were extremely sophisticated yet playful and fun. Secret food courses here and there. It's exactly WHAT a great restaurant should be.
The staff were incredible. Fun, attentive, kind and never pretentious. Sommelier - Mark: Outstanding pairings.. Servers - Brandon & Sawyer always personable and fun.
The Maitre D even met us outside, and greeted us before we even stepped foot in the restaurant.

We took a cooking class this Saturday with Chef Vinson Petrillo and it was fabulous! They provided sparkling water and wine and we all sat around a beautiful kitchen island in the quaint hotel kitchen and truly got to know the chef, a bit about the hotel and how the kitchen is run. Chef Vinson is an extremely humble, talented, well traveled and creative Chef that is an absolute master at his craft. Never making the same dish twice, he taught us how to make a few high quality ingredients into a masterpiece dish that can be recreated at home. His attention to detail and obvious love for his craft

My husband and I stayed here for three nights to celebrate our 1-year wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful experience! When we arrived, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne in our room and a hand-written Happy Anniversary note. We stayed in the Veranda King which was a great size and very charming. Amazing shower and amenities. Cozy robe and cozy bed!

Breakfast was delicious!! I loved having my cold brew and waffle topped with berries every morning on the porch. And wine and cheese happy hour was such a nice touch.

Overall it was expensive but not outrageous, and completely worth

Very fun place to have a drink, eat a meal or take a cooking class. I highly recommend. If however you're trying to get a good night's sleep... and I cannot stress this enough... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
If you have a room close to Bay Street, you'll feel as if you're sleeping at some flophouse motel on the side of the interstate. Every time a car drives by your room will be lit up from the headlights and the windows will rattle due to the close proximity to this busy, highly travelled road. Truly a miserable night. So by all means, come for the party, but do yourself a favor and

I would like to give this place five stars because of the environment ambience and the staff but they only receive four stores from me because the food while interesting didn't really wowed me. Went with a couple for their anniversary and it was their treat. And while I'm not usually very price conscious I will say that the bill being close to $600 for four people seemed pricey for the offerings. We did get the upgraded wine selection but all I can say is I left there a little hungry and I wanted some more damn wine ha ha if you've never been it's a nice romantic spot and the

Has a great happy hour, where the bartender was nice enough to make me a virgin concoction since I don't drink. They have tastings available to try and ordered the tuna tartare and lobster roll [it's not what you'd expect it to look, but very flavorful]. I hear they're amazing for dinner too, next time we come back, we'll definitely try it. Be sure to get your happy hour drinks and relax on their balcony at sunset - it's how the southerners do it.

Can't recommend this hotel enough. The staff went above and beyond to make the experience amazing. Loved the turn down service, wine and cheese hour, and breakfast. We already said we want to come back here once a year. The room was beautiful, food was beyond expectations, and it's in the perfect location. Will definitely be coming back!

They were very accommodating when we brought our little one, and we felt like we left Charleston and went on vacation. Beautiful beautiful hotel. Stay here! If you come to Charleston and don't stay at Zero George, you are missing out. There are so many little things they do everyday to make every guest feel special and cared for, it makes you grateful for the opportunity to stay here.

The rooms are gorgeous and come with unexpected delightful details like the complimentary chilled cabinet stocked with glass bottled water, sparking juice, and creamer. Also great were the complimentary bikes and the turn down service every-night with fresh cookies and ice water.

I can't say enough about the staff, everyone was so lovely...

Zero George Street is a wonderful hotel in the middle of Charleston that is close to everything, but is quiet and relaxed and hidden. I like the design and feel of the entire complex as it is historic and modern in the same location. It is great for getting business done or just having a space to stay and relax. I have enjoyed every visit to Zero George Street and it has always been a memorable experience.

The stay at Zero George was all-in-all pretty good.

The main issue we had with our time there was the staff. There were a few staff members we interacted with who had an attitude problem, especially the bartenders though the reception was fantastic. They were snarky and often made us feel as though we were inconveniencing them. Not all of the staff had this issue, but the attitude of the select few resonated with all of the group. It seems as though those bartenders probably should not be working in the hospitality industry. If we had a problem with just one member, I would not have a problem

This is probably one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at! It is so homey and charming yet has a lot of the modern amenities one would expect from a luxury hotel (Malin & Goetz toiletries, Nespresso machine artfully tucked into a cabinet, wine and cheese hour, bikes for free rental, etc.). We were greeted and said goodbye to with a handwritten note, and most of the staff members were so friendly and helpful. We were tempted to eat at their fancy restaurant, which looked fantastic and certainly had convenience in its favor, but opted instead for all the local food in Charleston

Miles, Martim & Alexandra were beyond accommodating! I wanted mint tea so Martim jumped on a bike to go get me some, miles had my cocktail waiting for dinner, and Alexandra gave great advice on where to go.

If you are looking for exceptional customer service, beautiful decor & southern charm you need to stay here!

Thank you Zero George team for everything!

I have waited 2 months to write this review, trying to find adjectives that don't even exist to describe this hotel, the service and the wonderful experience we had there. My parents and I sat on the porch one evening comparing this hotel to places we've stayed all over the country, in Paris and London, Spain and Bermuda, etc. and none compared to Zero George. It is a completely unique hotel experience.

I wouldn't even know where to start in raving about this hotel. The staff were on hand to make sure everything was perfect, yet they were somehow invisible, making the environment

I live in Charleston, where there are no shortage of luxurious properties to spend the night. The wife and I decided to take some time away from suburban life and spend the weekend downtown in our own city.

We have traveled a good amount, both domestic and international, and stayed at a number of top-end hotels over the years. Honestly the experience we had zero George is tied for one of the top three ever.

The property is gorgeous. A stunning restoration of a timeless Charleston compound. Updated just enough to be comfortable for the modern-day traveler. We stayed in the king suite, which had
