Way over priced for what it is ( over 300 a night on Saturday). The elevator drops to the bottom floor without warning and when I call to let them know they said it's getting fixed in January. Until then I'd recommend taking the steps. Don't expect much from the breakfast or the "wine tasting".

6 of us made reservations for the weekend of October 29 th. Things were okay until they lost power in parts of the hotel. Our room had no hot water as did our one other room. The third room had no power and were given a large flashlight to deal with walking up the dark stairs and to find their room ,also in the dark. No elevator working so the Dark stairways were the only choices to get to your room. The manager only showed up to bring flashlights! He, Carl, never stayed and relied on his employees to deal with up set people. One set did leave but we stayed as most places were booked for the Halloween

I really don't know how this hotel has a relatively good rating. Our experience was anything but good. First of all, we reserved a double queen room and, when we arrived, all they had available was a king. So, we had to unpack for the night, only to re-pack the next morning and move to a double queen, which was so unnecessarily inconvenient...and the very least they could have done was to refund us for that first night. The toilet was loose and wobbly. The housekeeping staff did a great job with what they had to work with, but the carpet was old and permanently stained, as was the shower floor

This was my second stay at the Indigo Inn and I must say, it didn't live up to my memory. All the good things were still there like the proximity to the attractions in downtown and the continental breakfast and happy hour with wine. And their cleaning staff does a great job. But there were some issues with the room. I notified management after my first night that there was no hot water in the shower. It did not get fixed before I checked out three days later, despite my second complaint. Full disclosure, they took the cost of one night off my bill. The cold water tap in the sink, never got cold

We could not have chosen a better establishment. The location was perfect to walk to all that Charleston has to offer. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to interact with whenever needed. As we walked around the city we didn’t find one location which beat ours. To top it off, the morning continental breakfast fit our needs and the afternoon cheese and crackers was perfect.

Location & service incredible. Couldn’t have been better. Room was decent for price but bathroom pretty tiny. They accommodated a special request without a hitch & on the house. Wine & cheese hour looked cool & I loved the homy, quaint vibe of the inn. Parking was expensive but where isn’t it in Charleston? They actually ended up calling my room and knocking on my door to wake me up since my wife was in labor and needed me at the hospital pronto - funny story but fantastic customer service along the way in such a stressful moment so early in the morning!

This was our first time staying at the Indigo Inn. We came for our 10 year anniversary and it was the perfect place. You can not beat the location. We were within walking distance of most everything in downtown and the historic distric. Our room was cozy and plenty of space for the two of us. The bathroom was nice with a modern shower. We loved the atmosphere of the inn and having our room open out to the courtyard with the fountain. We enjoyed the fresh bagels and fruit from the continental grab and go breakfast. We also got a lot of use out of the water bottle filling station by the lobby. Such

We had a nice stay here, but for $350+ per night, thought the hotel could do a little better on a few things. Namely the continental breakfast... A prepackaged sandwich and some Kind bars was a little weak in my opinion. I understand COVID, but some fresh eggs and a breakfast meat could've gone a long way.
Reception was friendly. Wine and cheese/fruit was offered shortly after we checked in, which was nice to have sitting in the courtyard. The room we stayed in was right by the elevator, and there was not much sound proofing, so we heard quite a bit of noise. Decor was nice and overall were pleased

Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Charleston. The location cannot be beat and we will be back. The room is a good size and the bed was comfortable which is needed after a long days touring. They are pet friendly and saw a few floofs while there. The lady at the desk was so bubbly and made us feel welcome! Breakfast was continental-bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, danish, fruit, and granola bars. They had water and coffee out the entire time which was nice. Social hour was 5-630 and had single serve bottles of wine and take containers of cheese, fruit, and crackers. All in all it's a great

The Indigo Inn is a quaint little gem in a great location! We were able to walk to most places within the historic district as well as so many amazing restaurants. The Inn itself is a bit dated but matches the historic area. Front desk and house keeping staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We loved the evening wine and cheese reception and the fact that water bottles were always available in the lobby. If your looking for the modern hotel experience, the Inn is not for you. But if you want to submerge yourself in the culture and history of Charleston, I highly recommend!

I don't know if I can say enough good things about this place. From check in to check out, everything was amazing!

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Charleston visiting from Denver. It was our first time visiting so we wanted a central location where we could walk everywhere. We found exactly what we wanted at the Indigo Inn.

We got into town earlier than expected so we decided to at least drop our luggage off at the hotel so we could explore while we waited to check in at 3pm. To our surprise, Kendra at the front desk told us our room was ready and we could check in early for no extra

The staff was nice
The room was not in good order. One of the posts was missing off of the four poster bed and the previous guest left an open water bottle in the room. The door did not fit right. I could see outside.
Hated the courtyard. It looked great but the cackling women, barking dogs and screaming kids made it a bad feature. Too bad people are so inconsiderate.

Stayed here on business for 30 years and has always been great. They now have a management company running it and the service and ambiance has disappeared. The familiar faces are gone. They apparently no longer value their long time loyal customers as evidenced by the conversation I had with the "gm" yesterday. Unfortunate, but there are plenty of other options in Charleston. Still feel like I lost a friend.

My wife and I spent a long weekend here, we've visited this stately old city on a number of occasions.
The hotel is quaint and very eclectic. We truly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and slow southern charm. The staff were very polite and attentive, made us feel very welcomed. In the challenges facing businesses in today's COVID excitement, they managed the hotel in accordance with all health policies and still managed to make our stay pleasant.
One day after we arrived home, we realized a priceless family heirloom was mistakenly left in our room. We contacted Carl in the hotel office

Where do I begin when praising this excellent establishment?! I'll start with Ignatius, the manager. His commitment to service is above and beyond, and made our time in Charleston. Taking a red eye from the west coast with toddlers can make a family tired, and he offered us early check in so as to allow us some rest. Friendly hospitality wasn't limited to the manager, but was exuded by all the employees we spoke with.

The blue building is unassuming from the outside, but just one step inside and you're transformed into another era. The decor and ambiance is quaint and cute with

I really like the Indigo Inn on Maiden Lane in Charleston. This hotel or bed and breakfast if you want to consider it that is beautiful and offers a unique experience that is fun and memorable. My favorite part of Indigo Inn is the courtyard that is enclosed inside the hotel, but you can still see the sky and the stars. This area is cool as there are plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy the fresh air, but still be able to relax and enjoy the quiet in the middle of the city. The staff here is wonderful and does a great job of being accommodating and providing an excellent guest experience

We stayed for 3 nights, 9/8-9/11 2018; Wonderful stay. Staff were all very friendly and very helpful. We arrived before check in and they got our room ready for us. Nice breakfast spread, coffee lemonade water and iced tea out all day, and wine and cheese spread out at 5:00 each night. Very beautiful courtyard to enjoy your snack or just relax. They even gave us a couple towels to bring to the beach. Bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.

We loved staying here! Super convenient to everything in historic Charleston. Close to the market, restaurants on East Bay, waterfront, and the shopping on King St.

The complimentary breakfast is great! Hot sandwich options, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels etc. They also have lemonade, iced tea, and water out during the day.

The rooms had hilariously tall beds but it was kinda fun to vault up onto them. They had a step stool to get up if you needed it. Very comfortable mattresses. Only thing was that the water was never very cold (we came in August) but the AC worked well! And they had awesome

We stumbled onto the Indigo Inn on our first visit to Charleston. It is located near the historic center of this historic city. It sits very near the market, and is in easy walking distance of the waterfront, shops and taverns that lend such charm to the city.

The two floors rooms surround a central garden court. The sounds of the city around you don't reach this quiet oasis. The rooms are large, comfortable and seem to have been recently renovated. Each room we saw had a comfortable sitting area with couch, easy chair and coffee table.

The lobby retains an antique charm, and the staff
