Very dirty and rooms are old and smelly. Zero customer service And their pool is always out of towels. We paid for ocean view and got a room with a dumpster view and and edge of the ocean and the staff denied our request to change it. This place is a disaster. Do not recommend and will not be staying there again.

This used to be our go to. We would stay here about 3 times a year. We made reservations over the phone. The guy didn't tell us that the pool was closed, as well as the restaurant, bar and beach access from the hotel. We paid full price. He also misspelled my name after I told him 4 times. Needless to say, when we arrived we were extremely disappointed. No hot water and they wouldn't give us towels or wine glasses, both of which are supposed to already be in the suites. On top of all that the place was extremely dirty and they had no problem politely telling us "no" any time we made a request.

The rooms are so bad there is a mold problem cockroaches and no one cleans (one room was so bad they gave us a different one we had 4 rooms booked)around here. These photos say it all. I stayed at Peal South Padre with one other adult from Sunday 8/8/21 to Tuesday 8/10/21. Originally decided against posting this review since it contains some harsh truths. We paid $504 for a "deluxe king 1 king bed" room at what we heard was one of the nicer places on the island. Check-in time was listed as 4pm. When we arrived at 4:30p, there was a very long line of customers checking out and after waiting in line for 30 minutes, we were told that our room was not ready and to come back later. We finally made it to our room after 7:00p. For our trouble, the staff refunded the resort fee and provided

Came here with my friends, they were on the 4th floor, it was very spacious and beautiful. The balcony was facing the sea and it was the most beautiful thing I've seen besides the stars at Enchanted rock. There was construction being done on that side of the building so it was a little of a mood killer but it wasn't bothersome enough to continuously complain about it :)

All the employees was great. Everyone was very helpful. The room was clean and very spacious. The most helpful person in the building was the maintenance guy Ricardo. That man needs a pay raise. He went out of his way to help everyone find a luggage cart. He also helped us with getting our surfboards to our room. We had asked 2 other employees for help and Ricardo was there to help even though that wasn't his job. Thank you sir for helping us.

The lobby looks nice and staff friendly but rooms and building need a lot of renovation and repair. We paid for a ocean view room which we got however 12 hours a day a huge repair crew with big trucks were working right outside our room. Beautiful pool area but no unbearable could be found so we kept moving our chairs to get some shade. Of course no housekeeping while we stayed, trash and wet towels accumulated. We traveled with our 6 year old granddaughter so it was a true poor service.

The hotel staff was not accommodating and had no contingency plan for cleaning under the circumstances. We were there from Thursday to Monday and naturally, there was sand in the floor of our room that we couldn’t get removed. We ended up having to sweep it up with a towel. The toilet was stained on the side of the tank and there was a stain on the lamp in the room that looked like someone vomited on it and it was never wiped down.
We requested beach towels from the front desk which we had to sign out. We were later told that the towels would be ruined and that we would be charged $15 per towel
