This place is amazing, clean, friendly and pure quality. Dr. Irena might be the best kept secret in
Lahaina, I wish I could find a dentist like her back home, she is truly warm and caring! I had to get in for an emergency visit while on vacation and she managed to somehow make it a pleasant experience, even my husband asked if we should both try and see her for an exam while we were here on vacation. I can’t recommend this place enough, everyone was just amazing!

I couldn’t be happier with this dental office in Lahaina! I was vacationing and chipped my front tooth. I found this dental office and scheduled an emergency appointment. The staff were very friendly and Dr. Irena was amazing! She explained everything that was going to be done to fix my tooth. She paid great attention to detail and once the procedure was complete it was as though my tooth never chipped! I wish Dr. Irena was my dentist back home!

I was on vacation in Maui and my bridge broke. My family joked that I looked like a Jack-o-lantern! I found Kahana Dental Center online and called and made an appointment for the next day. Dr. Brown and his team were so kind, accommodating and professional. After 30 minutes there, I can now smile in public for the rest of my vacation. :-)

Our daughter had a bad boogie board accident that shifted 3 of her bottom permanent teeth, chipped one and possibly more damage that will be confirmed once back home. The accident happened around 4:30pm and the lifeguards had recommended the ER or dentist although dentist offices close at 5pm. Kahana Family Dentistry took our frantic call and from beginning to end truly provided amazing customer service and care. They had first recomended a pediatric dentist but unfortunately they were closed by the time we got there. We immediately called Kahana back and they waited well past 5pm for our arrival

I saw the Dental Hygienist, Amber and she was phenomenal! I have past dental trauma and she made me feel at ease and comfortable. She was super professional, yet made me feel like we'd known each other forever. I walked out feeling sparkly clean, and I will be back to see her for sure. Thanks, Amber!

Kahana Family Dental Center is clean (taking extra covid precautions), friendly staff, knowledgeable doctor and always does a great job. My hygienist Amber did a great job cleaning my teeth. She took her time ensuring my teeth were clean and even recommended a great electric tooth brush. I highly recommend this office.

Be advised that the experienced and well regarded dentist they advertise on their website is not the dentist that you will see. The dentist that bought the practice, Dodson, is fresh out of dental school. It's been quite a while since the previous dentist left the practice and beyond the point that I can believe that their outdated "meet the dentist" information is merely an oversight. I found Dodson to be lacking in knowledge and experience. It felt like having an overly enthusiastic student looking for ways he could practice in my mouth. While on vacation in Ka'anapali, I had a crown come loose. The office was able to book me in the same day. Dr. Ted Dodson and his staff were friendly, courteous and professional. He repaired the tooth without problem, checking for decay before he re-cemented the crown and sending me on my merry way. He even inspected my whole mouth and gave me some suggestions for cosmetic procedures to deal with chipped teeth when I get home.

I'm not convinced about this place. The last two visits they were running 20 to 25 mins behind schedule and I was forced to wait. Not ideal, but I was patient and did not complain. This time however, I was late myself and they said they wouldn't see me. I was only 10 minutes late but the doctor refused to accept me. It was the last appointment for the day so I know it wasn't about them having to see other patients. I pointed out the double standard to the receptionist but it didn't seem to make a difference. The doctor was not concerned. I know the dentist that I grew up with

I was going here for about 2 years. I have had a really hard time finding a quality dentist here on Maui. My cousin is a dentist and has always done my teeth. Finding someone to keep up with the quality health care I have always received is hard. During those 2 years, the one dental hygienist was rough but my teeth dealt clean. Rough to the point my gums were sore for a couple days. I continued though because they were doing the job. They recently got rid of her and hired some young ladies. They also cut the cleaning time from 1 hour to 30 minutes. They also demanded I get a deep cleaning

This place is great! The dental hygienist that they have now is very gentle. I went a few years ago and the girl that they had was super rough and I would leave with bleeding gums. The one now is very nice and I leave with clean teeth and no pain! Also Adrianne smith is sooooo nice and friendly. My husband has been going to see her for years with any dental problems and will only go to her now. It's almost impossible for me to get him into a doctor or dentist so I am glad that he feels good enough about this office to keep up with his appts. I actually saw the newest dr ( male)

This was my first visit to Kahana Family Dental and it was great! I was able to fill out my paperwork in advance using the office website, which saved me a lot of time. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and Amber, the hygienist was wonderful. Dr. Smith was very friendly and gave me some helpful advice. I'm looking forward to becoming a regular! :)
