Austin's fitness journey has been a lifelong pursuit. He started lifting weights in high school and continued his fitness journey in the military. Austin was first exposed to CrossFit in 2009 while in Iraq, but he let his ego get in the way.

I feel pretty lucky that this was my first crossfit gym. Can't beat Austin and Ben. Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

I had an opportunity to train with Austin and CFO while in town for the EAA Airshow. The facility was welcoming, as were the regulars. I attended the 5:30a class a couple times and really enjoyed the instruction, the motivation and the camaraderie.
Austin (coach) has a background in Olympic weightlifting, which translated well (for me) as he had different ways to explain positioning and execution of landing and pulls in a lift. He's offered a variety of scaling options, and encouraged us (individually) to chase an option that would be tough.
