Founded by Elias C. Tonias, P.E., the firm Tonias Engineers was formed in 1980 with the prime objective of serving people through the practice of Civil Engineering and Computer Applications. We at Tonias Engineers are commited to the implementation of Computer Aided Design and 3D Visualization in all design aspects. Knowledge, efficiency and thoroughness are the key components in the conduct of a project, may it be a study, design, construction inspection, program development or project management.

Formed in 1980 Tonias Engineers has a long history of providing civil engineering and related consulting services to municipalities, developers and state agencies.
Tonias Engineers has also demonstrated the ability to work with other design firms on multi-phased projects such as the Combined Sewer Overflow Abatement Program in Rochester, New York, which, amont other tasks, involved the: overall project management, physical and mathematical modeling, coordination and supervision of the geotechnical exploration program, development of hydraulic, structural and seismic design criteria guidelines and standard drawings, preparation of construction specifications, review of the design of the project section designers, conduct of a public participation program, and development of environmental and cultural resources.

More and more municipalities desire their consultants to submit their digital data in a format that can be integrated in the municipality's GIS. Tonias Engineers has been involved with GIS since 1987 and possesses the ability to provide municipal clients data in Esri's ArcGIS format as well as a number of other popular digital formats.
