For over 30 years, Rochester, NY based CAR Engineering and Manufacturing has been a tool and die manufacturer of stamped and precision machined parts. We have a variety of contract manufacturing capabilities, such as metal stamping, metal forming, Multi-Slide / four slide wire forming, Precision CNC machining, Electro-Mechanical Stamping, Custom Automotive Metal stamping and Wire EDM, and work with a variety of materials such as stainless steel, cold rolled steel, aluminum, copper, brass, plastic, and more.

After 30 years of owning the company, Charlie sold it to his son Al Rogers and longtime employee and President Brian Rumsey. Brian runs the day-to-day operations including all financials, while Al handles all outside sales and marketing with new and existing customers. Despite being a small company, CAR Engineering serves a plethora of different industries on a national and international scale.
CAR Engineering is a regional leader in four-slide or multislide production metal stamping. Our inventory of twelve U.S. Baird Multi-Slides are automated production machines designed specifically for the economical fabrication of metal stampings from coil stock. When you send your stamping opportunities to CAR Engineering our designers will quote your metal stampings in the most cost effective way.
CAR Engineering has seven punch-presses, and eleven Multi-Slide machines. Our DFM engineers, Milt and Todd, have over 40 years combined experience as tool and die makers for precision metal stampings. When you send your stamping quote request to CAR, our engineers will determine if it is more cost efficient to produce your parts utilizing a Multi-Slide or a traditional punch press.
In addition to Electro-Mechanical Stampings, CAR Engineering and Manufacturing also provides value-added contract manufacturing services through Multi-Slide Stamping and Four-Slide Stamping for electromechanical and probe assemblies. Products include breadboards, headers, test clips, terminal, probes, jumper wires, and distribution strips.
CAR's Punch Presses help bolster our stamping capabilities and are great machines to compliment our Multislides. With seven machines and two shifts, we have the ability to run jobs up to 20 million pieces annually or more. Being part of our IATF Company we routinely submit level 3 automotive PPAP's for new projects.
