River Academy Preschool and Learning Center was built in response to the need in our community for high quality Early Childhood Education for young children. We want to ensure the best possible educational experience for your children while maintaining an environment of stability, safety, care, exploration and fun.
River Academy employs enthusiastic, experienced and well-trained teachers who are devoted to children and helping them learn and grow. We believe that parents need to know safety and cleanliness are our top priorities, as be comfortable leaving their children in our care. Rest assured knowing that every staff member has passed a background check and hold a current First Aid and CPR certification.
My journey of opening a preschool derived from many occurrences I have had over the past year and a half. My son, River, is 5 years old and has been in preschool since he was two. Keep reading below. That focus forced me to inspect and interview possible options for early development learning. After looking around Boise and Treasure Valley for a place to send him, I decided I wanted something we didn't already have in the area.
We believe in solid communication between our administrators, teachers, parents, and students. We believe each child is a unique and capable learner. Our educational programs exist to scaffold and build upon each child's growth and development through observation, assessment, documentation and interaction.
We want parents to feel one hundred percent comfortable leaving their children in our care. To help ensure that, each parent will select a unique 4-digit code only known to themselves for our Brightwheel Software, to further enhance security. Parents will have to provide the proper credentials to enter the locked facility each day for pick-up and drop-off.

Dont know how to manage their employees they do have so they keep loosing them, along with treating them poorly. The building has so much wrong with it and they take forever to fix anything. They dont care about covid or keeping people safe from it. Half the people they hire dont even know how to work with kids or have little to no experience, which also drives out their actual good workers because people who dont do anything get paid more than them. This facility needs to be legitimately investigated, they should not be allowed to keep running like this its not fair to the kids

So My wife and I decided to give this place a chance, despite the other reviews we read. We did a tour of facility and like the openness, curriculum and separation of age groups. We had a bad experience from another preschool. Cramped conditions and over rated day care. We wanted a preschool, that had a curriculum. We have been pleasantly surprised. Staff has been welcoming. We receive daily updates of our child through a portal. After speaking with my daughter about her experience there, I am convinced we made a good choice. She enjoys all the activities, teacher, students and meals. Everyday

Originally I gave them a 5 star review, however after having my daughter attend there for 5 months the quality and attitudes of employees went down. Anytime I let them know about something that I noticed or was concerned with I got attitudes or "it wasn't our fault"..and let's be honest daycare is way too expensive to put up with that. I understood that they had new employees and that some may have needed a little more training, but I never gave them attitudes about the situations or pointed fingers..I just wanted to bring it to their attention. This is why I changed my rating and I left the original

I can’t believe a place with that many violations is still allowed to be open!
The amount of “incidence” reports on my children is frightening they should call it what it is “nobody paying attention to the children”
Them setting up a tiny tablet for the kids to watch all day in complete nonsense that isn’t in anyway a “learning” tool it’s their way of avoiding actual interaction with the precious kids there.
They’re never able to track my kids belongings they never seem to do what’s right for the children. That place is a filthy mess I urge you to keep your loved ones far

My two-year-old daughter goes to River Academy Preschool in Eagle two times a week and has been there for six months. My daughter was home with me prior to bringing her to a preschool so I was VERY nervous and uneasy about the whole thing. The staff has made me feel at ease each step of the way. They welcome my (sometimes numerous) check up calls. The teachers are caring and I completely trust my child with them and anyone else under their roof. The location is new and amazing and bright. Their outdoor equipment is so fun! Go tour any time to see for yourself.

River Academy made false claims that my child had HSV. He never tested positive and this was proven from our pediatrician at St Luke’s. Now my child has to be uprooted from a school at 18 months old. This is poor judgement and disgusting action on their part. They also have kept a child at the school that has tested positive for HSV! Very disappointing.

I am a grandmother and was helping my daughter to take her son there, so when I picked him, this was very interesting day care. They were naping with the music so loud I was very concerned and I asked them why is it so loud, they said to drown out the noise outside. Well there was nothing going on outside. I asked them to turn it down but they refused. Ok then another time I picked him up there was a little girl sitting in those cubby chairs in the dark looking at a book. So i said wouldn't that hurt her eyes? They ignored me. Now I am very concerned and told my daughter. Then other incidents here

My son attended part-time in the infant and one’s room at River Academy and we loved it. If you are looking for a place where your child will be loved, well-taken care of, and you can communicate effectively will all staff, then this is your place! They are always doing activities and teaching them new things! When my son came home and starting singing to me “more please” I was ecstatic. I was even more ecstatic when I found out they were teaching him the alphabet, already! We only experienced one injury (a bite from a classmate) but it never happened again. There was one kiddo who was struggling

This is the best daycare! I really appreciate the friendliness of all of the staff and the attention to teaching our children while in their care. We call this “school” at home instead of daycare because I truly feel they have helped to teach my son so many new things and they continue to foster his future advancements. Thank you River Academy Staff!!!

Our 8 month old daughter attends River Academy and we love it! Very clean facility and the teacher are amazing and work a lot with her! Today when I picked our daughter up she was using the Walker. They always tell me new things they do with her and send me pictures using tadpoles. I highly recommend them 💖

My girls love this daycare! My youngest usually doesn’t take well to new places and it takes her ALOT to warm up to new people. At River Academy she is doing amazing! They only go up to 5 years old which was a bummer because we have a 7 year old. We were really hesitant to have to go to two different locations so we expressed our desire about our 7… year old being able to enroll. The owner and the directors mentioned they were considering that option and began working on an after school program and summer school program. One of the director called me the next day and to let me know

I have personally interviewed the owners of River Academy. I believe in their vision of what River Academy is and stands for. The reason the school will be valued by parents is that it reflects high family values, education for our children and high quality nutrition. Its a great vision and now I cant wait for the Grand Opening.
