Disappointed, we really wanted to like it. Terrible food and subpar service. We had been here before when it was the voice restaurant. We liked it before and thought it was a good idea to make reservations to celebrate our anniversary here. Wrong choice. Upon arrival, we stood and waited for 10 minutes before the bartender told us to sit ourselves. The bartender didn't ask us for our drink order and served water. It took twenty minutes before she took out order. I had the Chicken Rositto, and my husband had the steak and scallops. Both the chicken and beef (medium) was very dry. Getting the

Went with a friend for the $5 hamburger special because I just love the decor at L&L. Presentation was good but did not feel it was the burger that was advertised -- Chorizo Burger (Angus beef and aged chorizo patty, fried avocados, chicharrones - deep fried pork belly - melted jack cheese on a brioche bun) -- more just a regular burger served with lettuce tomato and onion. Also it was cooked well done so a bit on the dry side.

We arrived for the reservation and no one was there to seat us. The restaurant portion was completely dim. After a few minutes of wandering, we were seated by a bartender who became our waitress. We then ordered a grilled mushroom with blue crab appetizer, and the mushrooms tasted almost raw, like they were merely heated up a few minutes before serving. A grilled bella mushroom should not be white, right? Then, I get the menu is more expensive because it is in a hotel, but $27 for chicken breast with tomatoes and broccoli is a little much.

I've heard they have great bar bites, so that may

Booked this restaurant as a birthday celebration. When I arrived, I thought I was in the wrong location b/c there were literally no customers. When the rest of the bday party arrived, we were quite honestly the only customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night at 7:30. The waitress was sweet, but very inexperienced. We ordered one round of drinks and an appetizer and left and went somewhere else. The appetizer was mediocre at best and everything was overpriced. I will not be returning to this location. It's a shame b/c the restaurant is beautiful on the inside and it has so much

We had a Saturday afternoon lunch here and it was really good. Each person had a different menu item and we compared each dish and everyone gave each dish a thumbs up.
The service by our waitress Maria was excellent and she was so friendly.
We will be back.

Came here on a weekday for brunch. It was nearly completely empty, but the ambiance was beautiful. I went with the eggs benedict, which I found very underwhelming. It was not very flavorful, and the meat wasn't tender. The english muffin was mediocre as well. I asked for the drinks menu, but they never brought me one, so I just asked for a mimosa. Service was extremely slow. With all the other great restaurants in downtown HTX, I think there are many other more worthy brunch options.

I ordered room service from this restaurant while staying at the Hotel ICON. Thankfully, I only ordered two dishes; otherwise, I would be even more sad! I really expected much, much better from a restaurant in such a lovely hotel.

I ordered the fried calamari and crab cakes. The fried calamari were like little breaded rocks. They were fried to be more crispy than the extra crispy recipe chicken at KFC. By the time I had tried a few pieces, I thought I might need to take a rest to examine my jaw muscles.

The crab cakes were about 99.9% cake. They were even spongy like a cake. Imagine if somehow

As with all hotel restaurants, it's a few dollars more than it really needs to be, but the food is excellent and the service is good as well.

We went here for my wife's birthday after a few drinks down the street at Public Services and really enjoyed our dinner. The crab cakes were good, and the redfish well prepared. The room is very open, but it was quiet on our visit.

If you're looking for a nice dinner downtown and you're dressed the part, it's a good option. The hotel looks pretty unique and we're considering it for a staycation.

Hands down just excellent! We had our very first date here and I picked the place because of a certain Malbec they had. I informed the host that it was a special evening and man did they go above and beyond! They took my card before so there was no question of who got to pay at the end, I didn't have time to pick up flowers so they offered me a few from their vase in the back, I had wrapped a present and like clock work the server tacitly brought it out at desert just as I had instructed!

As I mentioned I picked the place based on a wine, however when it came time to bring it out, they

So a friend wanted to go here for her birthday celebration. It just so happen to be restaurant week and we ordered off the special menu.

I had the fillet which was cooked very well. I always get my steak medium well and sometimes it's burned. The chefs at lauriat did a great job and it was well cooked and very juicy.

The service was spotty but considering the time we went in... I'm not judging too much.

Line & Lariat is Hotel ICON's restaruant. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and we payed for two breakfast buffets at the restauraunt. It was delicious! Each morning the buffet was different and so delicious! It featured items such as eggs, omelletes, sausage & bacon, grits, pastries, fruits, yogurt parfaits, and more. Food was hot and really great. The restaruaunt is very clean and has some lovely decor/seating. The mornings were cheery, bright, and airy.

The staff of Line & Lariat were so kind! Very quick and always checking in to make sure you have everything

The restaurant is beautiful and fits in perfectly with the ambiance of an upscale hotel, just lovely. Line & Lariat itself was surprisingly not as upscale as I expected during lunch, in both good and bad ways.

Good: Food was casual yet still good. During lunch, they offer soups, salads and sandwiches at reasonable prices--I think they were all under $15. I had the fajita wrap, which was delicious, and the french fries that came with it were even yummier.

Bad: Service in such a nice place was sub-par. We had to flag down our waiter for the check, and he realized that he'd given

Decent burger
Came on Mothers day for dinner (huge mistake) seemed like 1 waiter for the entire restaurant. Forgot dressing for salad, forgot extra fork, took like 10 minutes to get water refilled, tea refilled, alcoholic drinks super slooooow service.

When I went to bathroom after 40 minutes of waiting for our food and only 3 tables in the entire restaurant I saw our entire tray of food sitting on a table and asked the bartender can I take this, this is our order. She goes no she has to take it. The food was cold when it came out and he forgot one of our "mothers

Line & Lariat's bar is great! We enjoyed ourselves very much. Came for an overnight stay for date night away from the kids and pets and for a much needed change of scenery. Checked in at 3, came to the L&L bar for a drink before our 5 o'clock couple's massage.
I had the Grand 'maretto and my hubby had the Maple Bourbon Smash. Fantastic! At the bar, we enjoyed a plate of cheese, meat and crackers that featured a house dipping sauce. This plate satisfied us so well, we did'nt need dinner!
Ambience and service was just what we needed: quiet, mature, elegant.

This restaurant is located in the lobby of the Icon hotel. The atmosphere is relaxed, spacious, and beautiful with the towering historic columns. The restaurant closes at 9pm, but they still served us a food in the bar area. Service was a bit slow, but then there was only 1 bartender and several patrons on a Friday night. My friend loved the meatloaf, but my kale salad with steak was just OK. The side of sweet potato fries was also OK. For a hotel restaurant, mediocre overall.

We went here for dinner at 7 on a Saturday night. There only a couple other tables while we were there and a couple people at the bar. It was quieter than I would have expected for a Saturday night.
I had seen some of the negative reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect. However everything was just fine for us. Our server (Terry) was polite and attentive. The drinks and food came at the speed you would expect. The jalapeƱo cornbread was delicious. I had a cheeseburger and it was pretty good. About what you'd expect a cheeseburger to taste like, nothing better or worse.

My husband and I had dinner here with another couple and the food was great, but the service definitely left something to be desired.

We were warmly greeted at the door, but the service went downhill from there. Our server was pleasant, but was not educated on the food or wine menu, and when asked a question about either had no clue what to say. She was also EXTREMELY slow. After being seated (we had 7:00 pm reservations), it took almost 20 minutes to get our cocktails. And we were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. I kept hoping that the service would improve, or our server would
