Just because the house may have some problems doesn't mean it isn't a good investment. The report will help you understand what will be involved in future maintenance, whether you may be able to negotiate with the seller on the price of the home, or getting repairs done before closing. Remember, the choice is always yours.
There are three levels of CREIA. CREIA member, Certified CREIA inspector and Master CREIA Inspector. When hiring a CREIA Inspector you should always verify they are a Master CREIA Inspector and have passed CREIA Approved Background Check. Established in 1976, CREIA is a non-profit 501(c) 6 association with twenty chapters located throughout California.
When hiring an ASHI Inspector you want to verify they are a CERTIFIED ASHI INSPECTOR and have passed the ASHI Background Verified Inspector check. Opposed to an ASHI Associate. In 1976, a group of visionary home inspectors with the common goal of building consumer awareness and enhancing the professionalism of their field established the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).
We are a Licensed General Building Contractor # 606950 and a Licensed General Engineering Contractor # 606950. The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) was established in 1929 as the Contractors License Bureau under the Department of Professional and Vocational Standards. Today, CSLB is part of the Department of Consumer Affairs.
I have used James T. Kubeck Home Inspection since 2003 and my buyers have been very satisfied with his services. He is extremely speedy with his reports and easy to contact to either schedule an appointment for an inspection or to ask questions about some items on the report. He has consistently supplied reports that are easy to read and understand whether my buyers are first time buyers or have purchased repeatedly.
