Services
From a young age, our students are taught not to use what they learn in the dojo, unless presented with danger. At this early stage, we begin to help them develop awareness and basic self-defense skills, all while having fun. At Barr Karate, we care about the wellbeing, growth and empowerment of our Junior Dragons.
Karate Cares Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) foundation started by Soke Larry Barr. The goal of this foundation is to help enrich his students' lives through the power of karate. The money raised through Karate Cares helps towards paying for outside tournament fees for those in need of extra help, taking students on fun dojo family outings, enrichment field trips, college tuition scholarships, and more.

It takes a village to raise a child. Barr Karate is that village for my daughter. She has been training for six years under Soke Barr and is on her way to becoming a black belt (and go further beyond). My five-year-old son too has started training this year. Its an outstanding institution which imbibes values, determination and most importantly discipline.
This is all because of relentless dedication of our dear Soke Barr. My daughter started in this astonishing institution when she was five, she is still going strong on the way to become a blackbelt. My son has also joined her and is a jr green belt now. They both are growing up as well disciplined and dedicated kids. Thanks to the Dojo family !!!. I can't thank Soke Barr enough. The sheer grit of our Dojo was displayed again during the covid pandemic in NJ. We just kept going !!!.
