PROS

- Nice area.
- Friendly/ Helpful Maintenance Crew (especially Nate).
- Close to UMass if you're a college student.

CONS

- Oppressively corporate atmosphere.
- Upon move in YOU have to inspect your prospective apartment to note damages so they don't take it out of your deposit later (how backwards is that?).
- Electrical outlets are weirdly loose as soon as you move in, windows that are sometimes painted over you so you can't even open them, odd things like a towel rack with a cheap bar holding the towels up that spins so your towel is sure to fall to the floor at least half

My partner and I lived at Cliffside for almost two years. We were happy to get a first floor apartment that, while not the most modern, was larger than most two bedroom apartments that you find around the Five College Area. Jennifer, who was recently promoted to the Community Manager, is super nice and approachable. She clearly cares about the experience of the residents, and has recently made efforts to build the community by holding little events for residents. It is a nice property, with a pool, tennis courts, grills, and hiking nearby. The location is great too, being right on the bus line

The apartments are managed by Northland, an evil leasing company that twists everything in the lease to its advantage, leaving the tenant with little protection from its abuses (thank goodness for the slight protection provided my MA renter-protection laws). Other perks have disappeared over time: utilities are no longer included and rent goes up every year with no logical trend. It's NOT student friendly, always asking for impossible proof of income and

15 years ago, this place was a cheap housing alternative for students. There are trails that lead up to a cliff right behind this place that overlooks the valley. It's a great place to study or just sit.
