I would like to express as a tenant, that NEST DC has been great at responding to my needs as a tenant. I recently relocated to the area and I was fearful at first because am a homeowner and now I am renting. I want to thank NEST-DC for their professionalism with the follow up they provide. I am a current tenant to one of their properties and my experience with management and my place of residence has definitely been AWESOME!. I love my neighbors and the building I moved here from Florida and I was definitely fearful because I am new to renting. They have made my experience a beautiful one. I will definitely recommend any properties they manage because they are responsive, professional, and work with contractors that do not try to do shabby repairs.

We have used Nest to manage our property for the last year, and it has been an extremely positive experience - they have been responsive, shared their expertise in the market and handled everything smoothly. My dishwasher had been acting funny for a few months but I've been eating out/ordering out a lot so I didn't really care too much. Once it starting getting chilly and I wanted to start cooking more, I remembered - oh yeah, the dishwasher is being funky. I placed a few maintenance requests for it to be inspected and tested and after the 2nd or 3rd test the Nest team decided to replace it. They came within a week or so (they were off for the holiday) to deliver my new dishwasher and it works PERFECTLY!! Cesar was very responsive to my emails and my maintenance requests, which was very helpful.

Laura Delo is the most proactive and fast moving leasing agent I’ve ever experienced! She came to my rescue when I wasn’t having getting timely responses from the large corporate ran apartment complexes and showed me a condo that I instantly fell in love with. When we encountered issues gaining access, Laura went above and beyond to retrieve the keys so I could see it that day, by that night I had a draft lease in my inbox and when I requested to amend the lease term Laura took it in stride and got it done for me. For the last year I have had an excellent experience with the team at Nest-DC. Cesar and Kendall have made sure to keep communication open and prompt. They have been thorough and kind from maintenance requests to renewing my lease. I particularly like how Nest has an online portal for the ease of payment, maintenance requests and updating any documents that you may have. I trust Nest to insure a safe and comfortable living environment.

I’ve used Nest DC for the last 18 months or so and it’s been a great experience. This was my first time signing up for property management and it was a fantastic decision. At one point, I had to email them and ask if everything was alright because I just couldn’t believe how much they handled for me! Very professional folks, highly recommend.

Have had a great experience with Nest. We're in our second year of a lease with them and have a positive experience, both as a prospective renter and current tenant. I have been living in my unit for about 3.5 years now that Nest DC oversees. They are very responsive and are quick to help when you can actually speak to a person. I will say sometimes communication sometimes lacks if you put request in through the portal so highly recommend always have a direct email or phone number for someone.

Stephanie, Cesar, and Jennifer have always been really great in either getting in touch with me or pointing me in the right direction as to who I can get in touch with to help resolve whatever issue I'm having or question that needs to be answered.

The house we rent is managed by Nest, and we have had nothing but a positive experience with them at all levels. We like that everything is simplified through the portal, and response is fast to any query. They clearly have a good rapport with the owners they represent, which makes it so much easier as a tenant. Have had a great experience with Nest. They have a great inventory of unique places across the city and are very responsive, both when we were looking for a new place and as tenants. We have had a couple of times we have need services done on our unit and the system for communicating issues is very easy to use and they have addressed each promptly. We just signed another lease with them!

Nest is the best property management company I've ever rented from. Their online portal makes it super convenient to do everything from paying the rent to requesting maintenance. They're super responsive and come fix things properly the first time every time. Whenever there is an issue, they go out of their way to make things right. Plus they're all genuinely nice people and easy to talk to. We just renewed with them, but if we ever move in the city again we'll be looking at nest properties first for sure. Keep up the good work guys!

I know this review probably won't stay active on the site since it's my only review. HOWEVER, I felt the need to create this review after a very unprofessional email exchange my daughter had with Jennifer. She starts conversations with "I'm the new VP or Starling" which is refreshing at first but she is unresponsive, and her emails come off as rude. My daughter has only had great experiences with Nest and their emails translate as happy however this isn't the case with her. One time she never responded at all and my daughter had to reach out to finance for a response

Continued terrible service! Not posting under my real name for fear of retribution. Don't hire this company to manage your property. They own their own maintenance company so every single frivolous tenant request is readily serviced with overpriced labor! This is why the positive reviews here are from tenants, not owners, lol. Expect to pay for "labor" and a double charge for "installation" or "set up" and the like. Nest will pass along every possible charge onto you and just want to take as much money from owners as possible. They don't actually care. Avoid

After one year of working with Nest property management's owner services, they deserve maximum stars, particularly for their service, heart and responsiveness within the constraints and challenges of a global pandemic. My relationship with Nest began pre-pandemic, as I readied for a cross-country move, reluctantly stepping into the role of landlord. Since I'd be on the other side of the country, I wanted to hire a local company to ensure the safety and comfort of both my tenants and neighbors, while providing myself the peace of mind that my home was being cared for in my absence.

I moved into a new place March 7th, a week before quarantine began - it's been slow-going getting things to settle into my new home. But the Nest team has been super helpful and responsive -- which has surpassed my expectations of a property management company!

I've been lucky to always rent directly from owners who've all been wonderful people (many whom I keep in touch with lol) - but when I moved back to the DC area from NYC, I ended up renting from a large, corporate property with a VERY corporate leasing office/property management - my first experience with property management

Communications with Nest-DC are dismissive when addressing any issues related to the building. Over the last couple months they have not abided to their agreements within the lease to hold other tenants accountable for excessive noise and disturbing the peaceful enjoyment of the apartment. Walls are extremely thin. Building may be poorly made, and also poorly managed.

There's been a bug infestation presumably due to a sewer drainage problem for over 2 months which they are just recently planning to address. It has been a less than satisfactory experience renting an apartment with this company

When we were moving two years ago, we decided to look at Nest properties, since we had seen the positive reviews. We reached out to view a property, saw it a couple days later, and were approved the next week - the whole process was very easy, and Nest was responsive and friendly about our application and needs.

I live in an individually owned condo managed by Nest DC. Nest DC has been communicating throughout the COVID-19 stay at home orders to inform residents how they are adapting and handling changes. We have had a few maintenance issues that have still be handled quickly and efficiently, despite all of this craziness.
