Paisley is an Aveda Concept Salon conveniently located near the Univ. of Wisconsin campus, in the Regent Neighborhood, at 1941 University Ave. We opened our doors in 2008 and offer a friendly, relaxing environment to slow down the fast pace of daily life. We take pride in our friendly atmosphere and neighborhood style.
Our staff have trained under industry leaders including TIGI, American Crew, Aveda, Graham Webb, Rusk, GiGi, Goldwell, and others. It is our belief that if our stylist are informed on new and fresh trends and styles then our clients will be as well.

Services
All Paisley Hair Design employees are trained stylists. Our stylists continually take classes to update their education and improve their technical skills in order to provide the best possible service to our clients. The price of each stylist's services varies with their expertise. With each haircut, you will receive a relaxing scalp massage and shampoo/style.
I'm passionate about versatile hairstyles that can be dressed up for a night out or special occasion, but that still look fun and stylish for low-maintenance everyday wear. I love edgy pixie cuts and haircuts with creative texture and movement. My favorite hair colors are bright highlights and dimensional color melts.

Shout out to Allie for being an excellent stylist!
I went in for a haircut [first time customer] with a VERY general idea of what I was interested in, and several pictures. I wanted to go shorter, and I wanted to mess with the color (either go blond, or go darker); anything beyond that I was uncertain.
Allie helped me brainstorm the cut and color, and gave opinions based on her experience for what would look best, and I went from having long, brown hair to a boyish, blond pixie, that I feel pretty darn sexy in, and have since gotten several compliments on - thank you, Allie!

I love this cute little place! After a few years of paying way to much on my hair, I decided it was time to find a new salon. Megan made it super easy for me to book exactly what I wanted. They are friendly, timely, and very reasonable as far as cost goes (I used to pay double!). Now I can support local and not stress about the cost. I highly recommend this place and Megan, she did an amazing job getting me to the color I wanted without damaging my hair in the process. Also, they use Aveda products which is a huge plus! I highly recommend!

I had never been to this salon, I live in the neighborhood so I gave it a try and I’m so happy I did! Megan exceeding my expectations. She did a fantastic job on my cut and color. Definitely found my new salon! I highly recommend Megan if you are booking here!

I got a haircut with Janna today, and it was absolutely wonderful! The products she used in my hair smelled fantastic, and she gave me exactly the cut I was hoping for. She was super sweet to talk to. I've always had positive experiences here, but this one was so great I just had to leave a review! I came in with a few pictures, and she took the time to full up a few pictures of her own so that we could really nail down the perfect cut. I'm super happy with it, and can't recommend this salon enough.

This place is awesome. I didn't get my hair cut for 10 years (yes, a whole decade) and I was nervous coming back into a salon. I decided to come here and I'm so glad I did. My hair looks and feels healthier than ever and I'm happy with how it looks for the first time since I don't know when.
Megan was wonderful and also the nicest person on the planet. The other stylists were also kind and friendly -- the atmosphere is welcoming and just lovely. I also walked out with a haircut without breaking the bank. As someone who hates the salon generally, I would totally come back here

I came to Paisley after a really rough haircut that left my hair really short and lopsided. I was several months into growing out the damage, and I was really scissor-shy but it needed at least a trim to clean it up before the holidays. I'd read just about every Yelp review and Facebook review, and I opted for a cut with Allie just to try and fix the ends and maybe help even it out. I didn't expect to come away with a style, just maybe a little cleaner of a cut. But wow. She. Was. Wonderful. She listened so carefully and put me at ease right away - my cut is incredible! She cares about her client's wants and continuously checks in with them to make sure she is making their hair dreams come true. Can't say enough good things about this place. Had a wonderful experience today with Megan. She has a young and fresh approach, explains every step of why and what she did with my cut. She sincerely listened to my requests and suggestions. On top of her… professionalism, she’s bubbly, fun, and genuine with a calming touch. Usually when I leave a salon, I put my hair right back up into a bun until I can get home to style it myself and feel confident in a new look. I walked out of Paisley feeling AMAZING and took a ton of pictures to capture how great Megan made me look! So grateful to have found such a talented stylist!!!

I have been going to Paisley for 10 years! Not only do all of the stylists give amazing haircuts, they’re wonderfully kind people too. Karla and Andrea have done my hair/my family’s hair for almost a decade (my sister still talks about how much she loved her wedding day hair by Andrea.) A great locally owned salon where they keep up on the latest trends and technologies too.

I have difficult curly hair. Karla has been cutting and coloring my hair for as long as Paisley's has been there. She does a fabulous job in both cut and color. She is a great colorist! She has reenacted my color of my youth and consistently repeats it time after time. She listens to your needs with your hair and creates a great cut each time.
… She did the hair for my daughter's wedding - all of the bridesmaids as well as the bride and me, the mother of the bride. The whole staff was involved and we all left feeling glamorous. I highly recommend Paisleys'

I brought in photos of the cut and color I wanted. My hair is naturally brunette; I wanted a darker base with a few highlights. My hair turned out soccer mom blonde. Photos of what I asked for and received are posted. The manager (owner?) first tried to tell me that the problem was that my hair wasn't curled, and it would look the way I wanted it I curled my hair. Then she said that the problem was that I wanted finer highlights. To her credit, she did offer to work on it some more. I declined.

Finally found a hair stylist and salon in Madison that I LOVE! Had my first haircut with Brooke today and she was lovely! Great to talk to and cut & styled my hair exactly like the picture I brought as an example. Will definitely be coming back to Paisley Hair Design for all of my future hair needs :)

I get my hair cut by Kim and she is fantastic. I'm always impressed by her ability to interpret my confused and overly general hair cut requests. I always leave happy!
They give you a scalp massage before your cut, a nice hair wash and they style your hair a little after your cut. Also, they use really nice hair products.
You can make appointments on their website, which I always utilize, but you can also call to make appts.

Paisley Salon is great. I always go to Kim but the other stylists are always very friendly and remember me. Everyone always asks about things we talked about in my previous visit.
I made a very big change in hair color (from platinum blonde back to my original color of brown) and Kim was able to match the color to my natural hair color exactly.

This salon is full of very friendly folks! I first came to this salon because I had a gift certificate. It is an Aveda salon and the staff is on top of new trends and products. I have a preferred stylist but they all are excellent and have referred a few friends to them. Haircuts usually start with a massage and a consult of what is being done. I've been getting color added to my hair, so I miss the massage, but my hair has never looked better.
The prices are reasonable. Booking appointments online is really easy. It is alway good to schedule ahead so you get the time slot you want

We came in as a bridal party of 6 + Bride + 2 Mothers in a 2.5/3hr window of time. That's a lot of hair in not a lot of time. I ended up being the last woman to get my hair styled and I came with zero suggestions or opinions. We were running low on time so I told them to do "something", anything that could be done to get us out of the door on time.
Two different stylist worked with me. One to do the prep-curls and one to do the up-do. They did a wonderful job and I got lots of complements throughout the night.
I'm not from Madison and won't have an occasion to visit Paisley
