Extremely happy with my locs. I first went to Kylei with "starter" locs in my 4a type hair (which were actually just twists I just left in for a while). I wanted loc maintenance Kylei was patient and accommodating, segmenting my hair into cleaner sections and making my twists look like dreadlocks.
She listened to my input and after going back every few months I am beyond happy with the result! I will definitely continue going to this salon.

Every once in awhile you get lucky. That’s how I feel about finding Kylei! Moved to Madison this summer and had to find a new stylist. Always a challenge if you don’t know anyone! If I could give -100 stars I would. The worst cut and balayage I've ever gotten. I went in for a balayage and a cut with a coupon that I purchased. She immediately told me that she didn't have enough time for processed hair. I tried to keep a positive attitude and she said not to worry because my hair was lifting well. I walked into Kylei Shea Styles about a year ago and have been coming back ever since. Kylei is a great stylist, understands what I want for my hair better than I do and has the best personality on top of that. I have been going to her regularly for both haircuts and color. Kylei is always happy, singing and laughing. It's like spending time with your girlfriend and leaving with a great cut and color. Since I've started going to her, she's re-located to a trendy location right downtown with street parking in front. Both of my daughters have gotten their haircut by her as well

I love my new cut! I was ready to take my long locks to a short bob and Kylei really listened to what I was looking for. She also patiently and kindly put up with my 'haircut anxiety'. It's been a long time since I've found a stylist this pleasant and down to earth. She's cut my husband's hair as well a few times and he looks fab.

Have gotten my haircut at many places around Madison and haven't been completely satisfied. Signed up for a Groupon on a whim and since then, my search has ended! Have been back many times since. The place is great and Kylei is amazing. Very comfortable atmosphere and great location.

I found Kylei's salon through Groupon and had a great experience. Kylei is friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. She's got water and tea for you while you're styled and a comfortable little salon. She really listened to what I was looking for and my cut came out just the way I wanted. Kylei also paid attention to my usual grooming routine and the style is easy to recreate at home without a lot of effort. She has some products on display, but didn't try to up-sell me anything. Really enjoyed my cut, highlights, and wax. I'll be back!
