This is a Chinese family medicine practice that provides acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Chinese nutritional consultation for children, adults and the elderly. Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, has existed continuously for 2500-3000 years. It is one of two ancient medical systems still practiced today.
The World Health Organization considers Chinese medicine to be an independent medical system because of its comprehensive structure and its ability to complement modern medicine. The discipline includes Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and Qigong (a type of meditation with or without body movements).

Services
Experienced acupuncture practitioners insert needles quickly through the skin. There should be no painful sensation at most locations of insertion, unless that area is inflamed. However, after the acupuncturist inserts the needle to the desired depth, she or he may thrust or twist a needle to obtain a Qi sensation.

I was left unattended on the heated table with a heat lamp above my back and when my body became too hot I called the acupuncturist's name 5 times to come help and turn the heat off but she couldn't hear me. I have orthostatic hypotension and get lightheaded easily and when my body became too hot I started to panic. I had to lift my body up with all the needles in to try and unplug the heat myself. I was able to unplug the heat lamp but in an effort not to injure myself trying to get up to unplug the bed, I called for help several more times and the acupuncturist finally arrived and turned off
