12/24/2021 Christmas Eve, I'm driving back to california and stucked in the snow storm thinking maybe I need to stay at truckee for a night. I've booked this hotel for 300$ a night and that is the beginning of my nightmare.
When I changed my navigation, the map shows, the road to the hotel is blocked
and I called the hotel try to cancel it within 5 minutes of booking it.
This Hotel is saying I booked through the expedia and they cant cancel it. I called expedia and let expdia agent call the hotel. I stay on the line so I know the expedia is calling the hotel.
The expedia agent was saying

Stayed here for a business trip with some coworkers.

The place is extremely run down. TV remote didn't work, several lamps didn't work, the plumbing was questionable, shower head leaked, mold in the bathroom, dirty carpet, very uncomfortable and old mattress.

All that aside - since only staying here one night, I could let all the above slide.... What I can not is that fact that the dead bolt to my room DID NOT WORK and my window had NO SCREEN and NO LOCK. I was on the bottom floor right by the parking lot entrance and felt extremely unsafe. Literally anyone could have opened my window

I guess it's a place to sleep. I had room 110 which was right next to the lobby. Big mistake. Very loud first thing in the morning while they are setting up the bfast stuff. This was around 6:15 so if you needed sleep you weren't getting any.
The room was typical of an older complex. Mismatched furniture and a very firm mattress. Tv remote was another story. No in room coffee maker.

Dirty, carpet it super gross, we had 10 rooms for an event we were doing in Truckee,a hotel employee by the name of micca was completely rude, he should not be working there, it was hot and Smokey at time of our stay, he told me I could not sit in my vehicle with engine running for ac, that the fire marshal would come because we are setting off carbon monoxide sensors around the property, which is located right next to freeway mind you, he told me that he would have me towed if I didn't shut engine off, I said well the ac in my room don't work, it's hot and Smokey outside so I&apos

Reserved a King room ... changed to a Queen when we arrived and charged the same as a King room. NO elevators ... really?! The deodorizer used to "clean" might kill you! It was so over-powering that it made my eyes burn ... this is why the room change. It was slightly less offensive in the new room. However, if anyone has allergies, asthma, or any other respiratory issues ... DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Not to mention everything we carried into the room now smells like that deodorizer! Rooms are very dark and the bed was extremely uncomfortable! Coffee only in the lobby and NO decaf : (. Oh wait

Don't recommend this place if you are staying here to go skiing or snowboarding. My friend had a bad injury and we ended up needing to cancel our reservations for the night. The manager was difficult to get a hold of (it took longer than a week) and he was not flexible or understanding of the situation. Simply stated their policy would not allow a refund. There's probably other hotels in the area that would be much more flexible/understanding to these kind of situations.

BED BUGS!!!! i stayed here ONE night Friday-Saturday and by Sunday when I got back home my entire butt and thigh were covered in bites. After some research I am convinced it is bed bugs based off a few other reviews of people saying the same thing.

This motel quoted a certain price over the phone for two rooms, then when I got there, I did not get a receipt for the motel rooms cost. When I saw on my credit card substantially more, I asked the receptionist to send me every document that I signed. I also sent an email to the supposed owner Jon Borden about the same as to why they charged more than quoted. I never got a reply from either the receptionist or the owner. I think they are scammers for out of town visitors. I will never stay there again

All I can say is wow. On a few levels the place is nice, they accept pets and with two big dogs, during a pandemic, I give props to the place even be open. You can tell as soon as you walk into the lobby that it wreaks of clorox, and during these times that is very acceptable, even encouraged. The gal at the front desk is very nice and sincere. I think she gets verbally pounded for the price vs the accommodations and realizes that it's a bit of an uphill battle. The rooms show their age. The freeway is viewable and you can't open your window as the noice is just too much. I guess I must

You get what you paid for. This hotel was one of the cheapest that my wife and I could find. The rooms are very small and stuffy. Most of the walls have been chipped. The showers are pretty gross. But, if you're looking for a cheap hotel, for only one night, it's doable. Plus they do give you many options for your "grab and go" breakfast. And it's not in a bad location. Again, make sure you know that you get what you paid for.

What really knocked down their score for me was when my wife and I arrived, the maid was walking around with no mask on or gloves. They don&apos

Awesome place, hyper welcoming & truly caring Kerry/Karry, lady at the front desk, that makes you feel so happy to have chosen this place. Professional & impeccably dressed.
Huge difference from the male guy in the front desk. We had an outouage during his morning shift, power got back at 9:30 am, yet he said all breakfast was over & done with. Crappy extra attitude.
Wearing sandals, shorts & a hoodie, rude & moody in general, clearly doesn't like working facing customers.
The 5 star rating is all about Kerry & the cleaning crew.
She's clearly better trained

Pictures don't reproduce what the hotel really look like. Specially the smell in the room. Very old carpets and the whole room smell like mold. If you have allergies this isn't the place. Also payed not so cheap to stay during nye season / cleaning staff didn't changed sheets or towels in the bathroom. Staff is neutral. You can't leave your dog unattended in the room which makes the pet policy kinda stupid. Breakfast has muffins, bagels and waffles. Has coffee machine and that's it. No fruits, no room service.

If you look for a very cheap hotel (and I'm

Terrible hotel, I travel for work and this is the worst place I have had to stay in years. I booked another room after two nights of suffering and will never stay here again. I'd much prefer sleeping in my truck. Paper thin walls, cardboard bed, just complete trash. Seeking therapy to deal with my PTSD after this experience.

This is a great basic hotel if that's all you're looking for. Be sure to check the various booking websites, cuz I got our hotel for $75 less on one than I could have gotten on a competing site.

The room was clean, with a fridge and TV, and charging station next to the bed for your phone. Decor was updated recently with a bit of a more modern vibe.

Pro's: This is one of the few hotels that allows pets. $25 per dog. Hot tub, and continental breakfast...with waffles and bagels, coffee and juice. Grocery store within walking distance, and a great little yogurt place.

Hmm where to start with this place ... after calling couple other places in the area that we could quickly lay our heads and just stay for couple hours during road trip before snowboarding we choose this place . We choose it because it said remodeled , the price was right and the guy who answered phone was informative being able to give places to eat, shuttle info to mountain etc
The pro: 20 min drive to sugar bowl, close to town, friendly staff , cheap
The con: definitely not remodeled our room was dirty , Lap cracked , old dirty carpet and thin blankets , toilet not wanting to flush always

We were looking for a nice, basic, place to stay, and certainly found it here. Not luxurious, but staff is very nice. Continental breakfast in the lobby as well as one of those waffle maker things. The coffee dispenser definitely made better free hot chocolate than the one at Boreal Ridge made for $4 and change.

The In 's right off the highway. Very close to Truckee, and Tahoe City. Grocery Store, McDonalds and a couple of restaurants a few minutes away.

Our room was clean and very warm. Luxurious, no, but we weren't paying for that. We wanted basic, with proximity to Tahoe stuff

We were turned around at Donner Pass... Too much snow!! the Inn at Truckee was the right place at the right time!!!

Welcoming and friendly, we were among the first travelers to get a room. AAA discount, efficient, and convenient!

The room was warm, clean and had everything we needed: microwave, refrigerator and plenty of room. The lobby had SUPER HOT water for hot cocoa or tea and coffee.

Bonus! BREAKFAST! Loads of pastries and bagels, and the best- make your own waffles!!! Complete with jams, peanut butter and syrup! YUM!
