Erum Ahmed, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in treating individuals, couples and families who suffer from stress, anxiety and depression. Erum has a Masters degree in Public Health from Emory University and a Masters degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from University of South Florida (USF).
The number of sessions vary from client to client based on the goals you identify and the circumstances you are facing. Although, clients typically begin experiencing a sense of relief and change around 6-12 sessions. After the initial assessment, based on the individual's needs a course of treatment will be discussed.

I had a terrible experience with Erum as my counselor. She did not uplift or support me in many ways, and after multiple sessions she became more and more passive aggressive and disengaged in our conversations. I had hoped that finding a woman of color counselor with an Emory masters degree would pay well in respects to my mental health journey, but this was not the case. She made cutting remarks towards me and hid behind pretending to be polite. She seems to hold a lot of animosity for someone whose role is to be empathetic daily, but I was met with a lot of aggression and I would not recommend
