Our unique dining experience is well worth the drive over the mountains and through the woods. The Swinging Bridge offers a cozy setting in front of a raging fire (seasonal, of course!), with decor that reflects the beauty and splendor of nature, brought indoors.

Sit down, relax, and have something good to eat! Our Menu features a variety of buffalo dishes, as well as delicious, mouth-watering BBQ ribs, perfectly prepared on our own locomotive smoker. For the traditionalists, we have Sunday Dinner - Pan Fried Chicken - and many other family favorites, like our Blue Plate Specials (Fridays) and Prime Rib Saturdays.

Very comfortable, cozy atmosphere inside the General store of Paint Bank VA. We had breakfast each morning there. Pancakes, Bacon. Great coffee. Friendly staff. The upstairs is full of interesting merchandise both seasonal and keepsake, souvenir, jackets, t-shirt, ornaments, soaps etc. Very enjoyable place.. a true "swinging bridge" inside. Very limited menu was paired down even more for a Sunday. Food lacked flavor. Told wait time was 30 mins. In actuality it was over an hour to be seated. Ambiance is cool, but overall experience was disappointing. Server did a great job, given limitations tho.

Sliced Buffalo sandwich was outstanding and our waitress was great. The store has an old time feel and prices seem reasonable. Highly recommend visiting the Swinging Bridge!

Beautiful place! Terrible service! My wife and I waited for an hour for our food to finally arrive after ordering. We were never given utensils to eat with or offered any refills by our waitress! We were never asked if we wanted any dessert. We were never given any napkins until we asked another server to get them. We were not given a check at the end of our meal. We finally went up to the cash register so that we could just pay for our food without the ticket. Two different workers left the cash register without even asking what we wanted. If I had it all to do over again I would have just walked

I love this place! The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is always nice. Food can be hit or miss but the buffalo sandwich is AMAZING.

A little on the pricey side but food was good, waitstaff was friendly and was a beautiful place to look around. Over restaurant is a cool gift shop. Outside is an old mill and a small pond that you can feed fish. Beautiful scenery

The food here is delicious!! They have the best country tasting food like Mac-N-Cheese, Green Beans, and we all had the grilled chicken which is absolutely delicious!! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly!! I really wanted to taste their pinto beans with fried taters. Maybe next time. It is so worth the drive up the mountain!!

Nice place to stop and eat off of Rt 311. The restaurant is very nice inside. Ofcourse the theme is country. It's part of the General store. The staff was very friendly. They kept our beverages filled and table cleaned off of dirty dishes. The whole restaurant is very clean including the bathrooms. The food was good with a generous portion. The food is a little pricey but not over the top. I will make another visit with the whole family next time. I recommend you try it out.
