Alliant Physical Therapy & Integral Medicine
We Specialize in Resolving Pain or Lost Mobility - and Restoring Individual Capability to Daily Life. Alliant Physical Therapy & Integral Medicine is the first and original Northwest space for combining the field of conventional physical therapy with the newest in experiential approaches to integral medicine. Integral Medicine has to do with what goes on inside the person.

In other words, how you inadvertently compensate to your individual situation (usually reflexively and/or involuntarily or subconsciously) may be actually more important than your ascribed medical diagnosis or trauma history itself - particularly in situations involving complex and long standing or persistent chronic pain - and especially in symptoms involving more than one area of the body.Alliant is much different.
Services
Each session broadens your experience of whole self, and opens a new window toward new and insightful actions on your road to recovery and unlimited progress. Alliant Physical Therapy & Integral Medicine is a practical and doable concept of lifestyle medicine in action.

We expand our selves to offer a broad spectrum of personal growth opportunities for sustainable change and a unique sense of place from which to foster the optimal conditions for lifelong learning, self-development and a capable level of health enhancement within each individual.
Teletherapy appointments will be conducted over each therapist's Zoom Pro account via a 1-to-1 audio-visual session. You will need a built-in or separate webcam (or camera and microphone) for your computer; or zoom app on your smartphone for us to interact and see each other. Aeron will review the billing with you when you schedule your appointment and request your consent for teletherapy via email.
She was drawn to the work in 2012 after searching for an alternative therapy to help her son, who has Cerebral Palsy. At Alliant, she is available by appointment Saturday mornings and select weekdays, treating both children and adults at our Tacoma location.

At Alliant, all physical therapy clinical staff members have had some training and practice experience in various forms of massage and manual therapy techniques including traditional Swedish effleurage and petrissage, and have all taken coursework in some of the most common Bodywork approaches including Deep Tissue / Myofascial Release, Cranial-Sacral Therapy, St. John's Neuromuscular Therapy, Acupressure, Strain-Counter-strain / Jones points, Tom Meyer's Anatomy Trains, and some components of Structural Integration.

Hi, I have been trying to improve my health and after hip surgery I was given a referral to come here for therapy. It was the best thing ever. My favorite thing about therapy is how such small movements have a large impact on recovery. Tim and the two Jen's (Jennifer) have a way of knowing exactly what I needed ahead of each session. They made me happy to be there. If you need therapy, this is the place to be. I am a 68 year old veteran and they have helped me get back on the basketball court. And with all of this, Erin takes care of all the paperwork and ensures your appointments are set.

The treatment I have learned and integrated easily from Dr. Tim Sobie, Jennifer Yagos, Jennifer Miller and Dr. Jerry DeVore have been unmatched. At forty I feel I have finally been given a proper introduction to embodiment and range of thought and motion. I've been able to repattern emotions and thoughts too. I will use these new skills for my lifetime and revisit often! As a registered nurse I refer my clients to this practice frequently. Aeron, at the phone and reception desk is great to talk to and on top of it too.
The therapeutic approach is not like any other Physical Therapy protocol I

This place has been awesome at helping me recover from an auto repair accident. The therapist Tim Sobie practices a style of physical therapy that not only helps my injured areas but it also harmonizes the rest of my body to work the way it should. The front secretary is very effecient at providing my appointments and reminding me since one time I almost forgot. Jennifer the other PT has her own style of therapy that works great with Tims therapy.
It is soft movements that when done gently it becomes a little painful afterwards but the next day you start to see the effect and the original pain

I've been going to Alliant for probably 12 years off and on. I have had individual sessions with Dr. Tim and Jenn and also attended a few workshops.Their styles and practices are very complementary. I have also had massage and appreciate the way Alliant helps you address issues with a variety of approaches. They, are skilled and intuitive practitioners and I have recommended them to friends who have also reported good experiences.

When I came to Alliant, I had tried several types of therapy for my shoulder pain, which was debilitating. After one treatment with Tim, my pain was gone. It was like a miracle to me! I've continued at Alliant with Jenn, who is a wonderful practitioner as well. I've learned so much about movement and how my skeleton works, and I've noticed positive changes in my outlook on life as well. Feldenkrais works on the whole person. It has changed my life for the better.

Wow. Talk about sour grapes! They assured me there would be NO charge for this pain management study. They billed my insurance anyway. Not effective at all, and the therapist made me uncomfortable. I explained this to them, so they charge my insurance out of retaliation. Now, I face over $200 in co-pay's I cannot pay. This is way out of line! I do not recommend this facility.

I've been a patient at Alliant for about 12 years, and am happy with the body awareness that I have learned. Feldenkrais is a lifestyle, not a quick fix, but rather a way to integrate new pathways of learning into one's life. I've been excited about new focus areas and working specifically on feet, neck, back. The longer I practice Feldenkrais with my practitioner, Jenn, the more excited I am about learning more.

Tim freed my terribly frozen arm. I was with arm and shoulder completely frozen, and left with little body balance, constantly falling from a bad car accident. Tim freed the frozen arm and taught me how to regain my sense of balance and body control again. I will use his instruction for the rest of my life. I thank him for the real help.
