Hair is Silkka's passion. The seemingly endless creative challenges hairstyling presents inspired her to follow her heart in 1999 and become a hairstylist. Growing up in Boulder, Colorado with a number of biracial and multicultural friends, she was introduced to many of the various textures that hair can have.
Always eager to get her hands on someone's head, Silkka dabbled in hairstyling for many years before attending Xenon School of International Hair Design. At Xenon, she was introduced to haircoloring and its power to transform clients. After graduating from Xenon, Silkka trained under a local hair extension expert and developed another great transformation tool-hair extensions!

I’ve been seeing Silkka for years now, and I’m always perfectly pleased! I’ve tried loads of different styles and extension methods and she nails everyone of them. I love that Silkka is always concerned with the integrity of my natural hair and open to all the questions I inevitably have. Make an appointment with her! You won’t be disappointed!

Not only does she have skills with my natural hair, she has also customized hair pieces for my protective styles. What can I say “life is more beautiful when you meet the right hairdresser”. Lucky for me that was 18 years ago! Silkka is the most professional and best hair stylist I have worked with! Every time I visit her salon I know I will be leaving with great color, style and over all look. Over the years I have had curly, straight, extensions, hair pieces, updo’s and wigs and she has done it all fabulously. Silkka takes the time to get to know her clients to build an exceptional client/stylist relationship. She listens carefully and has an amazing ability to execute on her clients requests. Time

I have been coming to Silk Studio for 5 years. Frustrated with my natural hair being broken off and dry, I opted to go with the full weave. Silkka worked with me for the last 5 years to grow out my natural hair, by keeping a weave on it.
I have never met a stylist so dedicated to her work. I love coming to the studio where it's a one on one experience, no other clients in the studio, at the time of your appointment. Silkka has been keeping me looking amazing for over a decade. Whether I am wearing my short, straight and sassy or long and natural and weaved up, I always look fabulous. Most importantly, my hair is healthy and cared for. We all know how challenging hair care can be in Denver, Silkka is by far the best stylist I have ever been to. And we have great conversations! Which is always a plus.

I love going to Silkka, Im always happy with my hair and the conversation! She works around my schedule and keeps my hair looking and feeling healthy. She didn't flinch when I decided to go natural and she really helped ease my transition! I’m so thankful to have her as a stylist now that I’m back in Denver! Ask her about the headband curl trick, it's a lifesaver!

I have been going to Silkka since I was 8 years old (I’m now 27) and there isn’t a stylist I’d rather have do my hair! Silkka is personable, professional and very considerate of your time. Silkka does a great job of taking her time with each of her clients and make customs plans that fit each of their hair needs! Silkka is very passionate and amazing at what she does. I have been going to Silk for years and I only trust her with my hair. I live in Colorado Springs and I travel to Denver for my hair appointments. Silkka is a very talented stylist and a masterful colorist that I trust implicitly in finding the right color for my skin tone (see attached photo..she hooked my hair up!). Additionally, her salon is very clean and she focuses on one client at a time (no all day appointments).

Silkka is the only person I will let do my hair. She understands how to manage hard to manage hair and can whip your locks into place exactly how you wanted. She cares about making sure you are happy before you leave her chair and she remembers every detail of what you like or don’t like about your hair. You will never go wrong coming to her with your questions and hair nightmares. She knows her stuff! I highly recommend her for every diva and diva In training. Go get your look on at Silk!!
