Originally from Denver, CO, Tino Gabaldon made his way to the San Diego area in 2008 and comes from a family tree of talented Hairstylists/Barbers. Painting and drawing his entire life, Tino is a natural born artist and has been in the hair industry for over 13 years - most of which specializing in men's cutting and styling.
He now specializes in everything ranging from your classic men's cut to color corrections and women's balayage services. He was previously employed at a sizeable hair salon in Old Town but he decided to launch his own brand/studio as his clientele base began to mature and grow. T.G. Hair Studio was established in June of 2016 in Downtown San Diego.

Tino is the best! My hair is absolutely flawless. I showed him a few pictures of what I wanted and what I walked out of the salon with is everything I wanted plus a little more. I LOVE that he asked and clarified and than clarified again what I wanted. Super communicative and explains everything he is doing.

Tino is an amazing hairstylist! Not only has he always been accommodating to my schedule by working with me on appointment times but he is always such a pleasure to visit for a treatment or haircut. He is full of knowledge and truly educates his clients on different hair products, styles and treatments. I highly recommend his services and know that this is the only stylist I'll trust with my hair services in San Diego. Thank you for my last bob cut I absolutely love it!!!

Love Tino! I'm a bleached blonde who can be really picky about my highlights and he delivered exactly what I wanted. I then decided to go through a grow out phase where I was super indecisive and wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my hair, he was great with providing options when I was being super indecisive and I loved every change we ended up making! Highly recommend

I've tried out other spots in SD and Tino is the #1 guy that I always come back too. Laid back, private atmosphere. Exceptional work with amazing quality. Each time I leave I feel like I'm in a Revlon commercial. He has never let me down and I never plan on using anyone else when it comes to my locks.

I'm the type of girl that is so particular about my hair that I stick to a hair dresser for years. I was with my old hair dresser for about 4 years before hearing about Tino. After seeing his work on social media I immediately knew I wanted him to do balayage on me. His work is amazing, he's constantly educating himself on the newest hair trends/techniques etc. it's nice to see a hair dresser who is passionate about his work. So glad I found him!

Tino is amazing at his craft! Today he turned my 15 month olds crazy hair into a very sharp and handsome hairstyle. Tino was very kind and patient taking time and never made us feel rushed. He asked plenty of questions and gave recommendations guiding us to the perfect style that fit. My son remained calm and allowed Tino to work his magic. So glad we chose him for our sons first haircut and not the run of the mill children's salons. Tino is amazing and we couldn't be happier! I haven't tried a new barber in years! I've been kinda scared to switch it up. My barber recently moved, so I was forced to search. Was recommended by a friend who lived in the downtown area. Stopped by the hair studio for a touch up, after a few minutes I knew I was in the right hands. Not only was he very personable, but he was a master of his craft. Been using his hair product he recommended to me, amazing! I passed out his card to a few coworkers at my office. Love my new hair cut and everything that came with it. Five stars!

I was referred to Tino through a friend and have been very happy with my haircuts. Booking an appointment was very easy to do and he always gets back to me right away. Very reasonably priced haircut with a great location. Parking has been fairly easy as well. Tino has been giving me a very stylish haircut that I get compliments on daily. Thank you Tino!

I had a fantastic experience my first time visiting Tino's studio (which is really amazing by the way). He is an extremely talented, detailed, "artist" who took the time to listen, figured out what I wanted, and then made it happen! He is very thorough, detailed, and my color turned out on point, exactly what I was looking for. On a personal note, Tino is just a really nice, down to Earth, genuine guy. He even ran outside to feed my parking meter while my hair was processing... I'll definitely go back and I highly recommend him - whether you're male or female. He does

TG is amazing! I got my hair colored, deep-conditioned and cut. He analyzed the history of my hair and decided to go with a semi-permanent just in case I want to lighten my hair later on (I change the color of my hair often ). I can be a very indecisive person, but his cool-relaxed persona along with his hair questions enabled me to make a decision. Thanks!!

The FUNNEST experience I ever had!!
Tino right away made my feel welcomed and during my time there he gave tips on how to keep my bangs looking good between cuts. He also threw in a little extra deep conditioning which I greatly appreciated due to my thick curly/wavy hair.

Tino is amazing! I went in with a photo of an ashy balayage (I have naturally dark brown hair) and he told me to get it that light it may take a couple sessions which I expected. After the first session he said my hair lifted pretty well considering Asian hair is usually stubborn and becomes brassy sometimes so one more session could help get it to the ash color I want. It turned out so good even after one session and I'm in love with my hair! I was always too scared to do anything drastic to it but he made the process so comfortable and I'm so happy with the results. I can't wait
