Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance plans cover the cost of home health, provided the patient meets certain coverage criteria. All medically necessary and reasonable services are administered under the patient's individual physician-ordered plan of care. The patient must be limited in his or her ordinary ability to leave home ("homebound"), and the services received must be short term or intermittent in nature.

Lagniappe Homecare was established in 2012 to give residents of Central Louisiana an option for state-of-the-art rehabilitation and nursing services, delivered right in their own home.
