Listed below are the holistic health services provided by Snow Lily Holistic Health Clinic in Austin, Texas. Acupuncture is the stimulation of precisely defined, specific acupoints along the skin of the body involving penetration by thin needles or the application of heat, pressure. In a modern acupuncture session, an initial consultation is followed by taking the pulse on both arms, and an inspection of the tongue.
The information that you provide in these forms along with your answers to several questions asked during your first visit form a comprehensive health history. When combined with your tongue and pulse readings, they give the practitioner a working understanding of your body systems and provide the basis of your TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) diagnosis and your treatment plan.
As acupuncture gains acceptance, more insurance companies have started including acupuncture benefits for their customers. You can call your insurance's customer service center and inquire as to whether acupuncture is covered. Dr. Ming Zou is a provider for several insurance plans. Even though Ming is a provider, coverage is not always guaranteed.
Below are frequently asked questions we get about Acupuncture and other holistic healing treatments. Most people can benefit from acupuncture. Many use acupuncture to relax and alleviate the stress of life. Others use it to treat conditions they have lived with for years, or acute conditions that come up.

Ming is just a great person all around, she has accommodated my husband and I with the acupuncture. She is great and I recommend her to anyone that wants to do acupuncture.

Ming is a great practitioner of acupuncture and a wonderful person. If you are extra lucky, your work's insurance covers it under your plan with a copay (CoA).

I started seeing Ming about 6 months ago for many things. I was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia after years of unexplained pain. My anxiety was off the charts, and I was barely sleeping 5 hours on a good night.

I immediately felt very comfortable with Ming, and her very clean office. Each room is relaxing and simple. We started with a consultation and talked about a good treatment plan. She has helped me tremendously! I still have a bad flare every now and then, but if I see her in time, I can't control the intensity of my pain. She is always very knowledgable

I have begun visiting Ming again after a long hiatus. (I originally saw her to SUCCESSFULLY help me induce labor, then saw her again to help with plantar fasciitis and some back pain.)

I've been through a particularly stressful past 7 months, with a major home remodel and a change to a new job, in addition to having two active young sons. My anxiety levels were through the roof, and I was experiencing chronic pain. One day I was describing my feelings to a friend and I said, "I feel like the pressure's just building and building... I feel like I need to just get myself lanced so
