Services
Online counseling or e-therapy is a new way to 'see' a counselor. Busy schedules, difficulty with traveling to the therapist's office, and privacy concerns are only a few of the reasons given for choosing online counseling. Once you register on my secure counseling website, I will call you and we will schedule a session at a convenient time for you.
I see clients online on my HIPAA secure therapy website. Upon entering the Secure Client Area, please complete the electronic registration and make yourself familiar with the various features included on the site, such as Mail, Journal, and Upcoming Sessions. Any mail or journaling you do on the site is encrypted and secure for your confidentiality.
I have been in your seat and have experienced my own heartbreaks and heartaches. I get it and will make you feel safe enough to make the changes you really want to make in your life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Gottman Marriage and Couples Therapist, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Master Certified Addiction Professional with over 20 years of experience in counseling couples and individuals.
Most people don't come to marital/couple's counseling. Rather than general talk therapy which has proven to be ineffective with couples, I am certified in and utilize the Gottman marriage & couples treatment method. This is based on over 35 years of research by Dr. John Gottman. Gottman bases his theory on The Sound Relationship House.
Research shows that it takes a couple an average of 6 years before they finally come to see a couple's counselor, so the process will take more than a few sessions. Most of the couples who come to see me can see and feel an improvement by six sessions. Sessions are an hour and a half. After our first couple's session, I will meet with each of you individually for one hour just to get more detailed individual family and relationship history.
