Mama Mill was the grandmother of Donnovan, owner of Noble Group. Mama Mill was born in 1917. She passed into eternal peace in 2018 at the age of 101 and was laid to rest in Mount Hermon, Jamaica. Our cooks utilize a mixture of culinary techniques, flavors, spices and influences from Jamaican culture, the Spanish, British, Africans, Indian and Chinese who have inhabited the island.
The recipes are influenced by the crops and spices indigenous to Jamaica. Our restaurant is available for private events: weddings, business lunches, dinners, cocktail receptions, and more. We would love to discuss how to be a part of your next event.

The food at Mama Mill's is not just delicious, but it takes you to that "we're family ", at a cook out place. Beautiful presentation, sensational aroma's, mouthwatering flavors, and that fall off the bone cooked to perfection portion of meat. If this is what happens when you order their food for delivery, I can not wait to take in all its glory when we go to dine in. Tonight's visit was a disaster. Not only that after ordering and paying, 15 minutes later the kitchen informs they are out of many items. Then everyone gets the food from last order gets served first, then orders are wrong, and again items aren't available. Finally, I get my meal and it's wrong items, then I get it corrected, but chicken is cold. I didn't eat my meal. Kitchen staff argued thaty food was hot.

It's extremely hard to find good Jamaican food... We would make the occasional trip to Houston to eat at Cool Runnings when we had the craving. We won't be doing that any longer. Mama Mills is the real deal! Best oxtail and curried goat ever. We have tried almost everything on the menu and never been disappointed. Highly recommend!

I'll start off with a positive which was the customer service. The lady that rang up my order was very friendly and kept a smile on her face. The cons are the actual taste of the food. The rice and peas tasted like regular white rice with pepper in it and some peas. It was definitely Missing a lot of the traditional Jamaican flavors I'm used to. The oxtails were very bland!!! They were tender, just plain and flavorless. The plantains were soft and not properly cooked. Tasted like soft bananas. And the cabbage had some flavor to them, it just wasn't Jamaican cabbage. Drove over 20 minutes after ordering online. Food was ready when I got there and when I got home, I thought they forgot the oxtails. It look like they just put the gravy on the rice and forgot the meat. Oxtails were jist ok taste wise. Did not seem authentic to me. Rice and peas had no flavor. This was an one and done for me.

I ordered the oxtails combo that came with rice, cabbage, and plantains. The oxtails were well seasoned and tender as they easily fell off the bone.
8/3 Update: flavors of rice/beans & cabbage has improved since my last review!! The new container adds more space for protein and sides. The staff are accommodating, helpful.

We have been to mama mills a couple times already and we absolutely love it!! We are originally from NYC and haven't found a Jamaican restaurant worth visiting, we are soooooo glad we found this one, we know our Jamaican food and this place is a 5 star restaurant for sure!!
We both (both times) had the beef patties with and without coco bread and they are just like back home!!
The brown stew chicken is the meal we've had so far and um yes delicious!! We will be trying the oxtails and curry goat and the rest of the entrees for sure!!

Been dying to try this place since it opened and it did not disappoint!! All the food was delicious - we completely devoured our plates! The restaurant itself was extremely clean, simple and comfy. Loved the outdoor seating as well. The deck was super clean and quaint but the flies would not leave us alone so we moved back inside. Typical for outdoor eating this time of year in Texas. Lastly the staff was great - they were patient and answered all our questions when ordering. The food came out promptly and was served by smiling faces. We’ll be back to try more of the menu!

We were so excited to have a Jamaican spot near us! We strolled into Mama Mill's after a long day of front yard landscaping.... STARVING. Their restaurant is super cute, super clean, and the staff super welcoming. Loved the vibe and was so excited to hear some Hawaiian reggae mixed in with some dope reggae jams. I was feeling the vibe!

Good food and great service! There was more room inside than we thought just by looking at their pictures. Definitely try the braised oxtails & curry chicken. Surprisingly their waffle fries were really good also! The beef patties were thinner than some other places but they were good enough for us to order some more on the way out. We plan to come back soon!
