We are at mile marker 50 1/2 on the bay-side of US 1. Our island features many restaurants, stores, attractions, and beautiful scenery. Just a few of the nearby attractions include the Dolphin Research Center, Turtle Hospital, Sombrero Beach, Pigeon Key, and Crane Point. Our local reef is the world's third largest living reef, which makes for a beautiful snorkeling experience and excellent fishing.

Not worth the price. We had no cold water in our shower and the hot water was scalding. When we reported this to the front desk, we were offered nothing to account for the invconvenience. The room was painted all white like a hospital room. If it was $50/night, all of this would have been fine, but it was almost triple that.

Kingsail resort had a “sister resort” named SeaShell resort also on Marathon, which has been closed since Irma hit and damaged the property. We stayed at SeaShell resort for one night back in June 2014, and were met at the customer desk by the rudest lady I could ever fathom! She seemed to be in a bad mood to begin with and seemed to be taking it… out on me. When I was waiting for her to do her paperwork, I happened to tap my credit card on the desk, and she gave me the dirtiest look saying “You need to wait because I am busy right now. If you cannot wait, you are free

Me and my boyfriend came to the Florida keys from New Jersey for a vacation, and we spent hours looking for an affordable place to stay. We came across this motel and we’re a bit weary of staying due to some of the reviews we read. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised on how clean and spacious our room was and even had our own porch. The beds were pretty comfortable and the room even had a kitchen. We also didn’t see any bugs which is a big thing for me so that made me exceptionally happy and comfortable! Would definitely recommend this place.

If you want a CLEAN and bright place, this is it. Our room was very clean and had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. You also had your own assigned parking space which was kind of nice. If you are looking for something more "homey," forget it. There were no curtains on the windows and no pictures on the walls. It was very plain. The small bathroom was well lit but the sink had absolutely no vanity, so there was no room for my makeup supplies. Also, our room only had regular coffee; no decaf which is what I drink.

To start it off the lady at the front desk was Extremely rude and made a big deal about us checking in 15 minutes early. (Heavy set women) Not a big deal so we waited. We then got the keys went to our room and the room hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests. So I went back down to the check in and got new keys. There was a very nice Spanish lady there and she was very helpful. We got to our second room and there were dead roaches on the floor and trash that housekeeping either overlooked or were too lazy to clean up. I went back to the check in office and the lady was apologetic again and

They never cleaned, my feet… were black. So, dirty, the pool was a. Huge miss it was so dirty as F! I strongly recommend anywhere, but here! I say a little zero!

Gross do not stay here. Paid almost $300.00 for one night. I reserved through booking.com site unseen. Big regret I'm setting here in the room on hold for 10 minutes with Booking.com to see what can be done the business refuses to refund me. Here below you will see the Rat Droppings the filthy bathroom the cracked floors the dirty floors dirty food on microwave inside obviously not cleaned. I literally drove home 5 hours rather than staying here. I lost 300.00

GROSS!!! Don't waste your time and money!!! We walked in and walked out after we were greeted by a dead roach. The counters were not cleaned and the bathroom was disgusting. The only good thing was that we were refunded at 100% before we found another place to stay. This place doesn't even deserve one star. Shame on them for the prices they charge! We found a 4 star hotel 3 miles down the road that blew this place out of the water for $100 more - worth it!!

Looks nothing like pics! Toilet broke and instead of talking to me, the Adult, maintenance would only talk to “the man” (his words) who was my 15 yr old son! Dirty my feet were black after walking on tile… floor. Screens bent would not shut which let no see’ems in. Windows wouldn’t shut bc no cranks. For the price it’s awful! I’ve stayed in marathon for 5 years and I will never stay at this place again!

Y'all, DO. NOT. LET. THE. PICTURES. DECEIVE. YOU! The desk girl Honey? she was SUPER sweet and nice but this place is so run down. The ice machine and soda machine do not work, the dock is in such disrepair that the nails are sticking out of all of them, the pool was SUPER hot, and the gates going to the pool were screwed shut so you can only go in/out in certain ones. We came back at 3p since early check in wasn't available which was fine at the time. We came back at 3p and they said our room still wasn't rest because a woman was passed out drunk and they had to call the cops to

Not much of a "resort". We made the mistake of booking this between Christmas and New Years. They charged WAY too much for a "two" bedroom unit. The bathroom was a joke with a toilet for a toddler. We checked out early, moved to a much nicer place and saved money as well. The only good thing appeared to be the boat ramp and marina but not impressed at all with the very old and outdated place. Keep looking...

This place is awful. The rooms are dirty there was trash under the bed ,under couch cushions there was ants in the tub. Coffee pot was dirty. We had two rooms and one was to be a king and we got double beds which wasn't paid for we paid for a king which was higher.there was no shower curtain so therefore water went all over the floor. Water pressure sucks. They make it seem online all have kitchens they do not you get a rusted fridge.the door lock was broke couldn't even lock the dead bolt so felt unsafe. Parking is awfu. They charge you per nite to have a boat which isn't listed

Kingsail is probably the most affordable accommodation you will find in the mid keys. Any further south and you'll be paying double, easily! They were accommodating with our late arrival and had the keys all ready for us. We had a standard king room, it was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Morning coffee on the dock was also a great way to start the day. We will definitely be back!

The facility was proximate to many restaurants, i.e. Brutus Seafood. It felt perfectly safe. We noticed a number of families with children enjoying the pool and grilling out.
Charlotte, our GSA, was so sweet. And knowledgeable
Overall, for the price, and given they're just now coming up on a year after Irma, with 44 units in service, I'd say they're doing ok. I guess you can't appreciate that until you go through a hurricane.

This place is the worst place I ever had the misfortune to spend a night in.
The room smell like cigarettes, mold and cheap sanitizer. The bathroom was dirty and the drain was rusty. I couldn't take a shower because I was disgusted by the whole aspect of the bathroom. We arrived from Los Angeles and we were too tired to look for another place. As usual I check the bed linen before enter the bed; they were stained and I found a lump of hair and dust. The kitchenette was so dirty that we didn't even have the courage to use anything to eat or drink. The TV was a small old piece of junk.

Wow. My mother booked this room for our one night stay in marathon. Since my mother booked everything and we just needed a night for sleeping I didn't really check out where she booked. Boy was that a mistake!!!!
For $200 we got to stay in a mold infested hobbit hole centrally located in Marathon. Right off US1 it offers a mosquito cesspool to swim in and ratty second hand mattresses from a curb to sleep in.
There was mold throughout the room on the lamp shades, the floor, completely covered the bathroom and was all over the "kitchen" area. We were advertised a two bedroom suite

Oh my! Does anyone have the number for the health department and fire department in marathon? Thankfully we only stayed here for one night. We would have gone somewhere else but we got in late and we were running the 7mile bridge road race in the morning :(
I have never stayed in an room this disgusting or unsafe. I would have expected this out of a $49 special along 95. We paid $320!!!!!!!!! The issues in order of disgusting or disturbing:
