Services
Bastrop Providence Funeral Home was conceived from a vision of local and surrounding area residents who desired the old fashioned, personal service given to families during their time of need. Construction, in southeastern Bastrop, began in the summer of 2009. The 14,000 square foot facility offers a chapel that seats 250 with an additional family seating area and two staterooms, all equipped with a state-of-the-art music and video system.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. Please call us at (512) 308-9188 to make arrangements in person with a caring professional. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Take Hwy 71 East toward Bastrop. Once in Bastrop, cross over the Colorado River. After the river, at the next light, at the intersection of Hwy 71 and 95, go straight through the intersection. Bastrop Providence is the first full driveway on the right (immediately after the speed limit sign). Take Hwy 95 S toward Bastrop.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

This review has nothing to do with any funeral service. I was traveling through and happen to get a flat tire. Their parking lot was the safest place I could stop in. Upon entering the front doors a wonderful staff member gave me a kind smile and listened to all that I had to explain. I was given the ok to stay in the parking lot and then very kindly was given instructions on how to get to the business for my help to also arrive safe. The staff was friendly, kind and merciful to me in my time of need. If this is the kind of customer service they give to someone not needing any funeral services

The funeral director, Joyce Herzog is HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL! She was extremely friendly when the family first met with her, once the family paid for services and questioned her on conflicting information that was given to the family she became very rude and spoke poorly of other funeral homes and even went as far as to claim she "gave us" a viewing that we absolutely PAID for. She told us we could not have a funeral for 6 weeks because it might take 10-14 days for cremation and she would not schedule with the cemetery until the ashes were back. When the family contacted the cemetery we were

I recently had the honor of providing the funeral service at this funeral home. I found the staff to be warm, helpful, and well-organized. They provided the audio and visual components, as requested by the family, in a seamless manner. They were very responsive to family and to me, as the Chaplain. The facilities themselves were beautiful and provided the kind of atmosphere that is comforting and impressive. I would readily recommend this funeral home to families in this area.
