Cornerstone Preschool was founded by Melisa Giuffrida a mother of two and a teacher at the former Meadow Oaks School in Calabasas. It was her vision to "build a school" for her own children after teaching for 10 years amongst children 2 to 5 years of age. In November of 2005, Cornerstone Preschool opened with only 4 students, one of being her son Dylan.

Over the course of thirteen years, Cornerstone Preschool has provided an exceptional preschool experience for countless families and students. Our School inspires a love for learning through a variety of modalities and encompasses many Early Childhood Philosophies. Knowing that each child is unique, learning for that child must be unique.
Services
Founded in 2005, Cornerstone Preschool was established with the intention to offer a safe, loving, nurturing and creative preschool experience for all young children. A balance of developmental and age appropriate academic activities that are in conjunction with Early Childhood Principles and Philosophies are offered to our students in a nurturing, non judge-mental, loving environment.
During these challenging times, we are engaging in more school outdoors than ever before to support our students and staff here at Cornerstone. We are finding in order to further support our students with successful days outdoors we could really use your additional help!.

When you donate to our Outdoor Classroom Campaign you are providing our students with the ability to value outdoor play and experience a classroom setting outside in the fresh air.No environment surpasses the great outdoors for learning and active play. Learning and playing outdoors also strengthens the familiarity and cultivates an appreciation of nature.
Every parent is looking for a preschool that fits their family's needs, as our family looked for a local preschool in the area we toured several, and found that in making our decision a preschool choice is really about a match between the priorities of a family and the priorities of a preschool. If your priorities are like ours-you will find a perfect home at Cornerstone Preschool.
What is your discipline policy? Redirecting unwanted behaviors is most desirable. Behaviors that create a health and safety concern for any student or staff member will be addressed promptly. What is your sick policy? We strive to maintain a healthy school environment for all of our students, families, and staff.
We are easily accessible from communities near and far as we are right off the freeway between Kanan Road and Cheseboro Road. We are also 12 miles from beautiful Malibu, CA just through the canyon directly off Kanan Road. We can easily support commuters from north to south and vice versa.

We are SO happy with Cornerstone. The curriculum is like no other preschool that I toured (and I toured about 15) and they are really developing those school readiness skills for your child to succeed in Elementary! My daughter is happy, safe, learning, and thriving so far! The teachers are passionate, kind, and warm! We would recommend the school to anyone looking for a really well rounded preschool experience!

I wish I could give this school a negative star. This place has a very cold energy. Very sad to see a school run by money and not love for the children. Don't waste time...do not send your child here.

As a parent there is nothing more important than where you leave your child. When my daughter was an infant we chose home daycare which worked great - then we tried a larger preschool setting. At first it was o.k. but then she changed classes and suddenly there were 24 two-year olds and 2 teachers. Everyday she was bullied and hurt by other kids and cried when I left her there. I spent countless hours searching for every school I would leave my baby in, and when I walked into Cornerstone I knew my search for any and every preschool was over. It felt as if we were coming home. Having been a preschool
