Wildflower Atelier is a Reggio inspired program for young children that is built on principles of respect, responsibility, and community. We achieve this through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment that is based on the interests of the children through a self-guided curriculum that is developmentally, individually, and age appropriate.
We believe that children are active learners that thrive in an environment that provides meaningful contextual learning rather than abstract instruction. Education should be an ongoing process of learning and growing that is unique to each individual. It should not be a product or end goal that is achieved in the same way with the same product for every child in the end.

This is one of the best preschools around! Miss Lauren, the teacher is so so amazing with children as is miss Shauna and all the staff. They understand child development and are great at meeting their needs. They are also great at communicating with parents. Lauren has given so much attention to detail at her school and has set it up beautifully! She is very creative and has made a gentle nurturing atmosphere for the little ones. The play space is so inviting and beautiful. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking.

Wildflower Atelier is exactly what you envision for your child's first formal exposure to education. The indoor/outdoor classroom design is so beautifully and mindfully structured. Everyday students have the opportunity to paint, play, create, interact with nature, socialize, problem solve, build, sing, and learn. Lauren is the expert in early childhood education. She not only knows what children at this age need to grow and develop, but what the parents need too. Sending your child here will set the stage for a life-long love of learning and friendships.

Wildflower was a magical experience for my child. During his time in preschool, I watched him flourish in his discoveries and his friendships. He started at Wildflower as an observer and left as a confident leader ready for kindergarten. Lauren Szelog 's love of children and deep understanding of their developmental needs resonates in everything she does. From the beautiful classroom environment to the outdoor space, the focus on nutrition and community, the gorgeous artwork created and sent home, the friendships and problem solving and care for one another...I could go on and on.
