I have been taking my pets here for over a decade. I won't go anywhere else! Dr. Lauppe is AMAZING!!! He returns phone calls, answers any questions, is super supportive, takes his time and really understands not only my pet needs but mine as well as a pet owner i.e. budget, mindful of my pets quality of life, family needs, etc. I fully trust his professional opinion and his honesty. I've never met a better vet or one that I trusted as much as him.

I've always taken my pets to this location simply bc its closest to my house. My previous visit i noticed that they charge more for certain services than my 2nd go-to Vet which isnt a big deal i guess depending on financial reasons. But this current visit made me feel some type of way. I understand its important to keep ur pets as healthy as possible but i was given an option to get my dog up to date on her shots. My dog has gone over 8 years with zero vaccine and has done pefectly fine so in my opinion being up to date was not neccessary. I did however agree to get her shots(although at

I never thought I would be here writing a bad review for this place. In the past, I would go in with my sister for her cat and Dr.Klinborg was absolutely the best pet doctor I have ever meet! He's very professional and attentive of the pets he sees. Unfortunately, I did not receive the same professional service I had wished for my own cat. I took my cat in one day to get him neutered. When I was called to pick him up for his surgery this tall, brunette, & Caucasian lady handled my my cat over like he was a plush toy. When I tried asking her questions about the after care she cut me off

My family and I have had nothing but terrible experiences here! I have never written a review before but after our recent incident I felt the need to WARN YOU! They are HORRIBLE!! I took my kitten to get her vaccines and it seems they are still injecting vaccines on their back. For those of you who don't know feline injection site sarcomas (tumor) have been linked to vaccines over the past few years. To help protect our fur babies they recommend vets to give the rabies vaccine close as possible to the tip of the right rear paw and feline leukemia (FVRCP) at the tip of the right front paw.

For the second time we had the same thing happen here, which is so unfortunate. We have stray/feral cats around our area so we try to take them in to get spayed and neutered so they don't keep having more kittens. The first time we took in a young female to get her spayed and they literally chopped half her ear of and it looked horrible. Every other vet I have known only makes a small knick in the ear of a feral cat that gets fixed. For some reason though they really butchered her ear. It was red and swollen and so we called them to ask why was that done, they didn't care and had a horrible

My dog and I currently live in the Bay Area but my parents live in Merced, we love coming to VAH. Last year, my dog needed a boost on her vaccines and VAH were able to assist us. This passed summer we needed to get her yearly vaccines up to date and the employees were awesome and friendly. They took my dog in while I waited in my car, our vet took the time to call me and discuss what was given to my dog and if I had any other questions. Unfortunately, my dog potty on herself and they helped cleaned her up before handing her back to me.

As a new puppy owner, valley animal hospital was a great experience. I took my puppy in to to get her vaccine shots and they offered a puppy package which comes with vaccines and other services, it is a great package. Dr. Klingborg and the rest of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and informative.

We recently had to put our 14 year old dog to sleep. This is not our regular vet office, but when ours was unable to do an ultrasound and other diagnostic tests in mid- April, we called this one. Dr. Sheffield did the tests and delivered the difficult news of an inoperable liver tumor and let us know about what to watch for to know when we'd have to make that difficult decision. She was kind and professional and we were not her regular clients. Then 2 1/2 months later, Dr. McFadden was the one in the room with me and our sweet girl as we said goodbye. She couldn't have been nicer to me

The techs were quick and competent! Dr Sheffield was fantastic in her assessment and diagnosis of our rescue cat’s problems. She called after the surgery to explain everything she did and what to expect when we pick Inky up tomorrow. During this pandemic, the staff was prompt to meet us at the car and take us in through the back door.

Dr. Sheffield is a horrible doctor. I brought my 8 week old puppy in for a fracture in his right leg & she immediately said he would either need a $3,000+ surgery or amputation, no in between. She charged us $400 for an xray. She also said theat he had two fractures. After getting a second opinion (with an only $80 xray), he only needed a cast for a couple of weeks. And only has 1 fracture! She was completely rude and judgmental when we brought him in, and was a total money grabber. She had us believe our puppy was going to live his life with 3 legs because the surgery was too expensive. I

Love this place. The doctors are well educated and answer all of your concerns. I also like that they do not sugar coat it. If there is an issue with your pet they tell you what it is and the cause of it.
It can be packed at times but I recommend to book an appointment on their app. It is easier and faster.
I have been coming here for months. My dachshund received his puppy shots here and will be getting nurtured.

I am darcy. I just read, for the very first time, the reply the vet left for me.
I am here to tell you this. .. the reply IS A BALD FACED LIE.
THEY NEVER ONCE TRIED TO CALL ME PRIOR TO MY CALL THIS JANUARY.
THEY MOST CERTAINLY DID NOT SEND ME ANY NOTIFICATIONS EXCEPT FOR ONE ABOUT HER SHOTS in.May.of 2016.
THEY DID NOT ATTEMPT TO NEGOTIATE ANYTHING.
After their extremely poor customer Service rep kept saving "your coupon expired " over and over again..despite my saying that I DID NOT HAVE A COUPON..THAT I PAID THREE HUNDRED NINETY NINE DOLLARS IN CASH. .. I GREW

Staff and doctors went beyond my expectations in the care they provided for my pets and the individual attention they gave me as a guest. This is apparent in their enthusiasim to examine our pets and learn more about their condition, whereas other places are primarily concerned about whether or not you're able to pay.
The doctors here do not overcomplicate perceived problems with my pets and recommend only the appropriate treatment needed. My dog came in with what I thought was an ear infection, and the doctor said that he just had a dirty ear and to simply wipe off the visible debris. Any
