This charming Victorian restaurant is located in the epicenter of Oregon Wine Country and surrounded by more than 200 wineries and the bounty of the Willamette Valley. In 2005, owners Allen Routt and Jessica Bagley saw a bright future in the quaint town of Newberg, Oregon.
Not long after opening, The Painted Lady Restaurant quickly became a fine dining destination. Services
The menu is built around seasonal, local, quality ingredients; optional local wine pairings. Professional service; #1 in Oregon. The Willamette Valley is home to hundreds of world class wineries. We are lucky to be partners with many of the vintners and their private collections. We do not limit our wine library, though.
We offer a lovely, private room upstairs that seats a minimum of ten, and a maximum of 16 guests. Our private room is available for reservations Wednesday through Saturday, with our first seating at 5 p.m. and last at 8:30 p.m. We recommend planning for a 3-hour dining experience. To secure your reservation in our private room, we charge a $500 non-refundable fee that gets applied to your total at the end of your evening.
Gift cards have no expiration date and can be redeemed at the Painted Lady Restaurant. Your gift will be mailed to the recipient or if noted in the form, it can be available for pick-up at the restaurant for last-minute gifts. The Painted Lady was a semifinalist for the James Beard Award for Outstanding Service in 2018 and a semifinalist for Outstanding Service in 2017. Chef Allen Routt was a semifinalist for the James Beard Award for Best Chefs in America in 2016. In a restored Victorian house, this culinary treasure is located in a quiet neighborhood just steps from downtown.

We had an absolutely outstanding meal and experience at The Painted Lady on New Years Day and highly recommend this restaurant to any one in the area looking for a beautiful evening.

If the painted lady was an amazing experience!! all the staff were absolutely wonderful! We went here for our anniversary and we're glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing, some of the foods were things that we don't even like and they were absolutely delicious!

A very cute and beautiful fine-dining restaurant! The best one by far! A perfect place to dine for a special occasions! I have been here a couple of times, both for birthday celebrations! The service and the food were exceptionally amazing and beyond great! It was the best food experience ever! I highly recommended!

The best dining experience I have ever had. The servers were extremely educated and intelligent, while also being kind and gracious. The entire place had an air of opulence and excellence. The food demonstrated such a high level of culinary expertise that every single dish was a unique, rounded, complex experience. The flavors perfectly balanced each other and the courses were spaced so that you always had time for the food to settle before the next one came. Overall an incredible experience and a reasonable price considering all that is provided.

Blown away by our visit here. The food and wine menu was perfect. The service was amazing, all of the folks who took care of us knew their stuff. This is on par with most of the fine dining experiences we've had across the globe. Make sure to either have your hotel nearby or budget enough time for an Uber (we were staying in Sherwood) as it did take 25ish minutes to get one to take us back.

Hands down the most amazing food experience I have ever taken part in. Went there for our 24th anniversary and it was simply magical. There was not 1 thing I didn't just drool all over. Those tastes I tasted defy explanation. And with the wine pairing, it just made the evening perfect. This is a true hidden gem.

We went to celebrate an anniversary and it was one of the best dining experiences I've had and the best in Portland by far. We had the full 8 course tasting menu. Service was very friendly and attentive and the food was incredible. Tons of really complex dishes both in flavor and texture. I felt like I was slipping closer and closer to unconscious bliss with every bite. Food coma! The dining area is cozy and candle lit. Will definitely be back the next time we're in Portland!
