Papa's Italian is a full-service restaurant located in Zimmerman, Minnesota. Since opening our doors in 1991, we have provided local families and businesses with delicious meals at affordable prices. Over the years, our family owned business has grown to provide catering, and delivery, and we feature an event area for your intimate family gathering, or private business meeting.
Our soft, homemade Italian bread, coated with garlic butter and piled high with mozzarella cheese. Served with warm pizza sauce on the side. Straight from Buffalo, New York! World famous La Nova wings and drummies are coated with Italian herbs, served with celery sticks and Parmesan dressing. Our wings are oven baked, which takes a bit longer.
A Minnesota style burrito with savory burrito seasoned beef, fresh tomatoes, cheddar cheese and sour cream wrapped in a tortilla and served on a bed of lettuce, topped with salsa and sour cream. This burrito weighs nearly a pound! What a great combination! Our tangy homemade chili served over thin spaghetti noodles, then topped with cheddar cheese.
Our calzones use fresh ingredients and are folded into our ciabatta style dough and then baked to a golden brown. You'll dream of these in your sleep! Please allow a few extra minutes for our calzones - they're worth the wait! Grilled chicken breast, ham, mushrooms, cheese and homemade Alfredo sauce, folded into an unforgettable calzone.
Our homemade meatballs served on grilled Italian bread, topped with onions, our spaghetti sauce, and melted Italian cheeses. Pepperoni, salami, ham, turkey, tomatoes, cheese, and Italian dressing, oven baked and served on grilled Italian bread, then dressed with mayonnaise and lettuce. Your new favorite sub!

Found this looking through Yelp and wanted to give it a try. Very glad that I did and will be back again. The spaghetti pie is phenomenal and I recommend it. Good sized, filled with spaghetti cheese and sauce and NOT doughy. How do you do that? Cheese burger pizza was filled with ingredients and crust was amazing. Thank you Papa's we will be back!!

Love the food, just disappointed that our order is NEVER correct!! We have been given multiple credits, but when it comes time to redeem them, they are surprisingly not on our account. My wife and myself have both been employees of this establishment and cannot understand why it is so hard to get an order correct 😕

My wife and I have had pizza from more than 100 Chicago’s best pizzerias and dives, and Papa’s matches most (if not all) of them. The crust is a great balance of crunch, supportive, and chewy. Their sauce has a great flavor, and they don’t skimp on toppings.

Not what I was expecting for a place that has old school pizza ovens. Crust was not home made and I was shocked they charged extra for thin crust. 5 people in kitchen and obviously nobody knows how to make a pie. Sauce lacking zing, not enough meat to count it as having meat. $20.00 and a frozen pizza crust. Just can't grasp this. Hopefully they can google how to make a pizza crust online and up their game. Service was out of this world.

This may be the best pizza I've ever had. The Chicago pan style is my favorite crust. Also my family says their ranch sauce is amazing. They have loyalty rewards if you buy food, so make sure to fill that out and eventually get some free pizza. Never actually went inside to eat, only take out, but it looks a little small. Cheese bread is outstanding and they even have the option to put crushed red pepper under the cheese before baking, so it makes the pizza spicy!! Definitely try that.

We ordered the Chili Spaghetti & the Italian Beef Calzone for take out.
Every part of both entrées was made from scratch and was bursting with flavor. The chili was chunky and had just the slightest amount of heat. The crust for the calzone was crisp and browned perfectly without being burnt. The Italian Beef filling, cheese, green peppers and onions were juicy; all without making the crust soggy.

While venturing through Zimmerman... there aren't too many restaurants in this town, but this one stood out. We decided to give it a try. When we went in, the restaurant was chilly... it was -9 out to be fair. Haha.
My niece tried the spaghetti and she claims to be a spaghetti connoisseur. She loved it. You get a heaping amount with homemade sauce paired with a nice dinner salad and garlic toast. Great value. The salad was so good! It was fancy for a house salad... cheese, olives, tomatoes and house made croutons. Yum! I ordered the single chicken taco pizza. I don't get taco pizza

Sadly my last 2 pizza's were less then stellar. I had my very first bad experience, several months ago. I thought it was a one off. Unfortunately when I ordered again this past Saturday the pizza was again cold and lacking in flavor from my past experience.
I miss the old Papa's, I won't be returning. the prices have gone way up and the quality has gone down.

I go here at least once a month with my grandma and I have to say I love the atmosphere in Papa's Italian.
The waitress is a doll and is always on point with what you need.
The food is make in a pretty good time and they also have a mini buffet (around 4 or 5 items)
Soups are out of this world!!
They also serve wine and some beers
I strongly recommend this place if you want to just sit and relax without a concent stream of people going in and out.

Small, old school Italian restaurant. Decor was dated but I didn't mind. Very busy with takeout, they have take and bake pizzas. I ordered an 8" pepperoni and it came out more like 6" and it was Ok but my wife ordered the calzone and that looked delicious. Overall tasty food, cheap prices. Not bad , I'd visit again

I came here for lunch the other day. I wanted something other than fast food. I had the pizza buffet. The selection wasn't that great but I still got full. I had pizza, garlic bread with meat sauce and spaghetti and meatballs. They had salad and another pasta too but it looked like there were mushrooms in it. Service was good, nothing too spectacular but it satisfied my hunger.

I have only had the lunch buffet but all of the food on it is delicious. Pizza, salad, garlic bread with meat sauce, sub sandwiches, and brownies for desert. But even better than the food is the service! The young lady who has been our server the past two time is the best! She is great with out 3 and 1 year old daughters and she is so friendly and attentive. The cook also was so sweet and made a special 1 slice of cheese pizza on the one the pizzas he made, per my daughters request.

Excellent food and service! I had the Mama Mia lunch special and it was great! The chili was incredible...the waitress had warned me it may be a little spicy and offered sour cream to add to it to make the spice less! Perfect advice! My bf had the burrito and it was HUGE!! Very friendly staff! Would definitely return!

Papa's Italian is underrated. Ignore the haters. This place has some of the best tasting pizza in Central Minnesota. To look at the place (hidden off of 169 behind the Dairy Queen), you'd never expect it. It's a small, local place. But I kid you not - excellent pizza. It has a fantastic crust - crisp throughout - and a tasty, hearty sauce. You can order the hand-tossed or thin crust. You can't go wrong with either. The prices are decent. You won't break the bank.
