Solutions Counseling Service
Someone once asked me about the origin of the name I chose for my psychotherapy and counseling practice. I chose Solutions Counseling Service because, in most cases after meeting with a client we identify the problem, and for every problem there is a solution! Within a safe, mind-body oriented, holistic environment, I focus on your behaviors and relationships.

After we examine the life experiences and influences that have led you to seek psychotherapy we can begin the process of growth and change. Once the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns of negative behaviors that have limited your growth and prevented you from living a full and joyful life are recognized they can be addressed.

Since 1982 Robert has been involved in providing mental health services and psychotherapy to adults, families, and children. He believes that each client is in charge of their life/treatment and as such is a primary partner with their psychotherapist or counselor in this growth process. He provides education, best practices and current research in order for you to make an informed decision about your treatment.
I practice an eclectic approach in my psychotherapy and counseling practice as I do not strictly adhere to any one theoretical perspective or theory. Rather I am guided by a number of current treatment modalities. This approach identifies goals according to social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and physical aspects.

Despite the desire to regulate use, there may have been many unsuccessful efforts to decrease or discontinue use.
Dr. Murman literally helped save our marriage not once but twice. The first time he came to our aid my husband's OCD was out of control and affecting every area of our lives including parenting. Through a number of techniques, including hypnotherapy, Bob taught my husband how to control his urges/impulses.

I had a horrible fear of needles. When given an injection or having blood taken, I would often panic to the point where I would pass out, vomit, or both. Even thinking about having blood taken or getting stitches was often enough to make me feel dizzy and panicky.

Bob taught me several self-hypnosis techniques to help me deal with the anxiety and prevent the fainting. He also helped me determine what had triggered the fear in the first place and deal with it. He is very flexible; if one technique isn't working or the patient thinks something else will work better, he is open to changing
