Terrible place! Complete Medical Malpractice! Can't believe they're still in business! My Mother has a stomach blockage, and couldn't eat. She was being fed through a feeding tube. Because she had not had a bowel movement in 3 days, an idiot nurse gave her a laxative! My mother died a very painful death hours later! I hate this place, never send your loved one here!

The Brian Center is guilty of emotional, physical and medically related abuse. My husband was a victim of emotional neglect when he was repeatedly left alone, ignored or berated. Nurses do not have to comment on how sick you are! The negativity and their bad attitudes were unforgivable. Physical neglect because his hygiene & basic needs were not met by the staff. Waited hours in the am for any assistance in dressing & bathing. Medical abuse is the worse! He was not given the proper dosage of his medicine from Duke University hospital that discharged him and sent them his medical records

The original review I wrote is too long to post. That should say something in itself. If you would like specific details feel free to contact me. Otherwise I'm going to just keep it short and sweet. Do NOT send your loved ones here. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here! The nursing and staff are negligent, rude, liars, and manipulative. The past two weeks my loved one spent in this facility were hell. Complete hell for himself and the entire family. This place is seriously a joke. We ended up sending him to the EMERGENCY room for malnutrition, dehydration, cuts, bruises, and more. He had

This place is horrible. Do not send your loved ones there. They killed my grandmother! The staff is lazy to say the least. They left my grandmother waiting for 45 minutes to use the bathroom. How inconsiderate! Kathy, head of Human Resources is a joke. I talked to her about the care my grandmother was receiving and nothing changed. Im surprised this facility is still in business or no one has sued them. Also Cheryl "the head nurse" is just as lazy as the staff. Complaints fell on deaf ears. Her room was dirty (my aunt had to clean her room), someone took my grandmothers soap. I mean

Lack of communication and dismissive attitudes from staff and doctor. No one went over care, or hospital discharge papers. When in sever pain only drug given was Tylenol. Nurse said they give what is on the list. She had an unpleasant attitude and actions. When asked about another drug, and if she had been given, the nurse and doctor walked away, After 2 days of pain, no relief, and unconcern from nurse and doctor, we returned to emergency room.
There we learned Tylenol with Caffeine should have been given and it was on the hospital discharge papers. There also was a drug on the papers she should

The two stars are for only for the physical therapy staff, the ONLY people in the whole place who actually act like they care about people. The rest of the place is just awful. My mom's room smells like urine. The staff are inattentive (probably overworked since there never seem to be enough of them) and they never bathe her--I have to do it. Half the time I come in she is still wearing the same clothes from the day before because no one helped her change (and because of her dementia she usually doesn't remember to do it herself). None of the staff (except for one of the physical therapists

This place looks nice but the staff is useless. I rang the bell for help it rang 25 mins before someone came in to tell me they will be back in to do what I asked. The food is awful. The rehab area is really nice that's why I gave them 2 stars. I wouldn't leave my love one here unless they could do for themselves because no one comes or do their 2 hour checks when they are suppose to. Left in a wet diaper all day.
