Services
Nelly's Childcare & Preschool is a family owned business that has been providing excellent childcare and educational services in the Bay Area since 2004. Our founder, Nelly Parada, is an educator with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Child Education and has over 40 years of experience as an infant and preschool teacher.
Nelly's Childcare & Preschool strongly believes that teaching a child a second language is a remarkable gift and a door to future opportunities in a global economy. We are strong advocates that a child should be exposed to and taught another language to encourage additional learning, develop better brain function, and increase cognitive and language skills.
Providing a safe and secured environment to all of our children is a very high priority for Nelly's Childcare & Preschool. We strive to ensure safety in all aspects including daily sanitizing of toys, frequent handwashing, having all of our staff trained in Pediatric CPR and First Aid and appropriate supervision at all times.

One of the best childcare centers. We were so sad to have left after 4 years of watching our girl grow and learn Spanish and become her own person. They genuinely help you raise your child while you're away at work and the kids are happy, well cared for and learning so much every single day. We will definitely be bringing our next kiddo here.

If I could give Nelly's more stars, I would! Our daughter joined Nelly's in March of 2021 and while she'll only be there a short time before kindergarten starts, (thanks COVID) we have nothing but rave reviews for Maestra Greislye and Maestra Raquel! We have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Nelly's. The staff are truly amazing and I feel genuinely care about my kids. My 4yo and 20mo both attend Nelly's. Both kids love their teachers and run up to them each morning. There are no sad goodbyes or weepy eyes in the morning, as there used be at other centers.

We've loved our time having our 2yr old at Nelly's for about 1yr. They have always been winderful wtih her and she loves going to school each day. They've been very supportive dealing with her allergies. It is priceless that she's learning so much spanish in their immersion program (i'm learning some too...).
In this Post-Covid world they've significantly updated their facilities and policies to run the daycare in a way that we can trust to be safe. It was clear they carefully and thoughtfully reviewed the county requirements.

I've been sending my son to Nelly's for a 1.5 years now. I'm so glad they've reopened because my son missed his little buddies so much. The caretakers in the infant room are so patient and so good at reinforcing good habits for my little guy- he was a much better eater with them than at home and I'd watch him share with the other kiddos (pre-covid). We spent a lot of time researching daycare options when our first child was born. After visiting many places (none of which felt right), we discovered Nelly's from a co-worker recommendation. After our very first visit to the school, and seeing how structured and organized the program was run, we knew we wanted our son to attend. And as a bonus, the school is a Spanish immersion program, which meant he'd get exposure to foreign language at an early age.

Nelly's is a one of a kind gem that you will not be able to find anywhere else. My two children are both students and my son has been enrolled for close to four years. This school was amazing pre-covid with holiday parties, petting zoos and teacher's that truly love your children. Our son attended Nelly's from the time we moved to the Bay Area from LA when he was around 2 until he started kindergarten. Nelly's is a warm, caring and safe space for children to grow and begin their school journey. It is run by the most amazing group of sisters (it's a family-owned business) who not only care immensely for all the children in their care, but who also run their business professionally and with the utmost attention to safety. We had an amazing experience with Nelly's for both of our daughters. We started our older daughter in a "temporary" opening when she was 2. It took a few months, but we eventually transitioned into a permanent spot (we had to have a 2 month "break" from Nelly's and have a nanny, but it was worth it to us!). Our two kids have been at Nelley's for two years and did not know any Spanish. We are not a Spanish speaking family but our children were still able to thrive in the environment and learn Spanish. Our family was with Nelly's for seven years. Our eldest daughter was there from infancy through to pre-kindergarten and thrived their under Maestra Mai's direction. Our middle daughter also attended the school from infancy through to pre-kindergarten and also thrived whilst at Nelly's, although had a hard time with their forced nap policy. My daughter was on a 9 month wait list before attending at 3 years old. She loves Maestra Karen as if she was her own mom. Honestly, all of the maestras are truly amazing. We had a temporary position the entire time we were there which at first wasn't a problem. We were just lucky that we managed to get into this amazing Spanish immersion preschool. Nelly's was recommended to me by a few friends and I'm so thankful we had the opportunity to enroll. We started our daughter when she turned one and she adapted fairly quickly to the program and language immersion. She learned a lot from the teachers and other children and we feel the environment has tremendously helped her development. The teachers and staff are very caring and do a great job accommodating each child's unique needs. It was also extremely convenient that they cook and provide food for the day- breakfast, lunch and a snack.

This is the BEST place. My children loved it, they were excited to go to school everyday and never wanted to leave when I would come to pick them up. We recently moved out of the area and I'm heartbroken that my 2 other children won't be able to go here. The teachers and staff are so loving and caring. I really can't say enough good things about Nelly's. I would send my children here forever if I could!

We have trusted Nelly's with our son since he was 3 months old. It was very important to us to find a daycare with similar values and the love he would receive from family and we definitely scored! We couldn't be happier with the care and education he has received from them over the years. He has excelled and learned so much from social, emotional, physical and intellectual development, as well as potty training! All the staff is family to us and we treasure them dearly! LOVE THEM!!
