Campbell Parents Participation Preschool
Campbell Parents' Participation Preschool (CPPP) is a parent participation (or co-op) preschool with a 60-year history of providing a place for children to learn and grow while receiving individualized attention from parents and teachers. We offer each child time for free creative play, time to explore open ended and planned activities to the extend of their interest, and time to relate to other children and adults.

The Campbell Parents Participation Preschool philosophy is based primarily on the Developmental Theory of Early Childhood education. We believe that each child is unique and will develop at their own rate, given sufficient and age-appropriate stumuli and a safe nuturing environment.

The Campbell Parents Participation Preschool philosophy is based primarily on the Developmental Theory of Early Childhood education. We believe that each child is unique and will develop at their own rate, given sufficient and age-appropriate stumuli and a safe nuturing environment.

Toward this end, we offer each child time for free creative play, time to explore open ended and planned activities to the extent of their interest and time to relate to other children and adults. We hope to provide experiences that will help to develop healthy and happy children.
In 1957, a group of interested parents felt the need and saw the value of establishing a parent participation nursery school in Campbell. Lillian McCall and Shirley Rosen, served as the first Director and President. At that time, our home was the First Baptist Church of Campbell, also known as the Grange Hall 109 North First Street.
Julie comes to CPPP with over 20 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education. She has a Bachelor degree in Human Development with an emphasis on Child Development and a Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Julie was a participating parent at Cupertino Co-op in 1999 and strongly believes that a child's development is strengthened through a close bond between families and school.
Located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Campbell, CPPP offers the comfortable environment of a home with the important amenities of a preschool. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space to explore and play; your child can finger paint on an easel, build castles in the sandbox, read books in a beanbag, or zip around on a tricycle.
Campbell Parents' Participation Preschool's curriculum is based on the Developmental Theory of Early Education. Our teachers plan open-ended and child directed activities that value play and developmentally appropriate activities. We offer each child time for free creative play, time to explore planned activities and time to interact and learn from other children and adults.

My son attended CPPP and we absolutely loved our experience. The teachers are wonderful and very warm and welcoming. We also built such a wonderful community and took away many friendships from our time at CPPP. We cannot wait until our youngest is old enought to attend :)

When my 2nd daughter arrived, I knew for a fact, that we would be enjoying her early years at CPPP! She (and I) went through the entire program again, 2's, 3's and pre-k and we loved every minute of it. I can't say enough about the authenticity of the teachers. If instilling a life-long love for learning is important in raising your children, CPPP is the place to be.

My son is so happy to be at this amazing school. The teachers are so nurturing. Parking is easy. They have very flexible hours for parents to drop off and pick up in the morning.
We will recommend this school to all of our friends!

Not only did my two kids love going to preschool and start to become the cool people they're meant to be, my Village grew by leaps and bounds on day one. I am a better parent because of what I learned by being in the classroom, participating in the support jobs and events, and attending parent ed nights. Teacher/Director Sherrie Rose is SO gifted and passionate about what she does that it's infectious. Teacher Monica is a treasure. Both are adored by every child they encounter. Thank you, CPPP!

CPPP is my daughter's 3rd preschool and I'm so glad we finally found the right one for us. Our first 2 preschools just weren't the right fit for us, so we went to an open house at CPPP to see what it was like. My daughter loved it right from the start. We are now in Pre K and my daughter can't wait to get to school each day. Monica was a wonderful teacher last year. She is caring and kind and we absolutely love her. Sherrie Rose is the Pre K teacher and new Director of the school and she is nothing short of fantastic. If you are looking for a play based, parent participation

This is a wonderful school. I visited over 10 preschools and finally found CPPP. The love and kindness that the CPPP teachers have for the children is apparent the minute you walk in the school. I wish we'd found this school sooner! The play-based learning environment combined with positive discipline techniques makes for a fun, vibrant and safe place for children to develop the skills required for kindergarten and beyond!

As I waited for my daughter to ask me about school, we came across CPPP. Even though we had enrolled her late for the 3's class, Teacher Monica was very kind and inviting.

I really enjoyed the parents participation part of this preschool. As you are required to work one day a week, I enjoyed getting to know the other kids in the class as well as getting an idea of all the personalities who influenced my child. I also enjoyed getting to know the other parents and still continue to have play dates with some of the moms that I met through CPPP.

This play-based preschool helps kids to develop

I am so grateful to be part of such an amazing school. My daughter is currently in the 2's class, she's thriving and we love it. We enjoy being part of a group where parents get to participate in their child's education through a play based setting. Parents are eager to help which is evident by the amazing upkeep of the school. The teachers are so patient, caring, and knowledgable. Honesty, I'm very motivated by the atmosphere and honored to be part of such an important piece of education. Love this school.

My twins have been going to CPPP since they were 2 years old. They are now in the 3's class. It has been such a wonderful experience for them and for me. The school attracts such a great community. My children love the play based curriculum and have loved their teachers. There's music, cooking, and science. As well as great field trips to the fire station, farm tours etc.

While choosing a preschool we looked at several in the area. What stood out for me was the history of the school. It's been around since the 50's. Many families have come back with younger siblings

We love Campbell Parents Participation Preschool. My daughter started in the 2's class and graduated from the Pre-K class. Now I get the pleasure of experiencing it all over again with my son. We choose this particular preschool because of their play based philosophy, location, teachers, and being a parent participation.

CPPP allows each child to develop at their own pace. It is a cooperative environment that encourages play. Play is a child's work! In play, they are figuring out the world. I am also a teacher and I know that they have a life time of academics ahead of them

Our year here in the 2's class has been fun filled. My daughter has blossomed into a outgoing, friendly, and independent little girl. I have truly enjoyed getting to know the other parents and teachers here. It's a very warm and nurturing environment. Ive enjoyed my time as a "participating parent" in keeping the school clean and functioning. I highly recommenced going to an open house and spend the time investing in your child's learning environment. It spills over into your activities for them at home. You learn what keeps them busy rather than tons of cartoons and ipad

After numerous school interviews we chose CPPP for my 3 year old daughter. After just a couple days we knew that we made the right decision. She loves the different activities set up each day and circle time. Teacher Monica is great with the kids (as well as the newbie parents ;-) ). You walk in and feel right at home. It's great to be surrounded with other parents that want to be actively involved with what their children are doing in school. She will definitely be going back for the pre-k class and if we have another one they will be going here as well :-)

My daughter is in the 2's class this year and we love Campbell Parents' Participation Preschool. Her language development improved significantly within a few weeks of starting school. My husband and I take turns shadowing her and we have enjoyed watching as she learns about new things. She now talks about all of her friends and asks every morning if she gets to go to school.

I like how the class structure allows for free play while the activities are teaching her new skills. My daughter especially likes the outdoor activities but makes sure to come inside for circle time and snack

A wonderful school and great way to slowly introduce your two/three/four year old to other children and a school environment!

Most parents have one parent who stays at home, which works out since that parent will take the child to school, but I work with a flexible schedule and take a couple hours off to take my son to CPPP so he can learn to play well with other kids, experience new toys, and get to be in a school setting with arts & crafts, water & sand play, lots of books, playdough, the things to do are endless!

My ten year old daughter went here as well, and over the years CPPP has

LOVE this school! I used to take my son to a drop off day care/preschool, but I never felt connected to the school and was looking for something else, I just didn't know what. I wanted it to be FUN and play-based. Play is the child's job, after all.

Then I walked into CPPP and knew we'd found our home. It is in a converted home, so your child feels the coziness of a front yard, home and back yard. The front room is home to play-dough, small manipulatives, family pictures and the class pet. The Science area has a fish tank and things like leaves, bones, feathers, pinecones, magnifying

I attended this very same co-op when I was 3-4 and I can still remember the fragrance of playdough every time I step foot in that door today.

My daughter is currently enrolled in her second year at the school and she enjoys every minute spent there! Every day, she comes home with a new song or story to share with me.

I love the atmosphere and the teachers and most of all, I love that I get to be involved as a parent!

We love every aspect of CPPP! From the overwhelming amount of family support and parent involvement to the play-based structure that teaches my child about socialization, cooperation, relationships, and so much more -- there isn't a preschool that could possibly be a better fit for us.

We tried another preschool before, and she hated going there. She would even say she was too sick to go! Now, she looks forward to it and is thrilled to go three times a week. I couldn't ask for more!

Their high-quality program and amazing Director ultimately prepares my child for success, and I am proud
