Been eating this place on rare occasions, their combinations are pretty good, their sushi is absolutely very tasty and colorful. Definitely wanted everyone to come over to Geta Xpress since they’re used to be the only Japanese place in Hanford, California for over 20+ years, until Toshiko’s and Samurai Sushi Bar & Grill came along as an inspiration to this iconic establishment. Give the Asian community tons of love and appreciation, minus the derogatory comments.

It's an alright stop for a quick meal. The lunch special tasted great, sushi..not so much. I recommend getting the food to go because staff are a little cold and the environment remind me of a 2000 McDonald's with less lights. Don't get me wrong, the lunch was Good, the portions Look small, they're not. You Will Get Full. Overall a good place for a quick stop.

Why does nobody talk about the Geta Chicken?! This is by far the best thing here. This place has been a staple in the community for a very very long time and deserves all the praise. The restaurant might be a little rough around the edges, but that just adds to the the charm of the experience.
This isn't exactly a sushi restaurant so I wouldn't come here expecting an amazing sushi experience, but all the other food items are authentic and delicious. Orders take a little while because it is all hand made to order. All the people that complain about food being "bland" have issues

The service was amazing! Food was extremely delicious. We got a teriyaki chicken bowl and rainbow roll. The bowl was a good size plus it was nice and hot, you can tell it was made right when we ordered. The rainbow roll was delicious and definitely made with fresh ingredients! 100% will be returning again soon!

Getaxpress was recommended to me by a co-worker who swore by them so I was obviously expecting the place to at least be decent.
First red flag was when my 4 sushi rolls came out 1 giant container, something I've never seen before and seemed just kind of lazy and since it was being shared I had to ask for extra containers in case of left overs.
I ended up eating about half a roll and left the rest. They LOADED the rolls up with sauce to the point that the deep fried roll was completely soggy and had practically no crunch left. The sauce was also way too sweet, to the point that it made

Placed online order for dinner yesterday. Ordering was easy, confirmation receipt of order & payment sent immediately. Arrived to pick up food, had to wait about 10 mins before ready. All food was as ordered, 2 bento boxes and 3 orders of sushi rolls. Cost was $46. For the food mentioned above. Overall a good experience. I will order again.

AWESOME PLACE!!! We order a large order for me and a few of my coworkers and i was very impressed with the service, taste, and presentation!! Everything was great!!! Food was bland. Rice had zero flavor. The Geta chicken tasted as if it was fried in old oil. The tempura also tasted bland. Tempura sauce flavorless. Used to be good... very disappointed. If the wait wasn't long in the drive thru we would have taken it back. Last but not least as I'm typing this my daughter found a hair in her food.

Typically go to toshinkos down by target but they are closed in Sunday's. Wanted some sushi and ramen. Haven't had Geta in a while so I thought I'd give them a try. I spent about $40 and regretted every dollar. Maybe it was cause it was take out but they did not deliver on quality nor taste. Threw away most of the order.

Good ol' Geta. Geta has been a Hanford staple for as long as I can remember. I used to frequently visit Geta when I worked and lived in Hanford over 10 years ago. It's also still owned by the same person, so their longevity proves they're doing something right. Because Hanford locals know, restaurants here dont last unless you got something good to feed us! The Geta today is actually an improvement in my eyes. Food selection got better, and it seems like prices improved as well. On my most recent visit, I ordered the pork don bowl for around $7. I ate here today for lunch. I ordered the nigiri combo, 2 pieces of additional tuna nigiri and miso ramen with chashu pork. It came to $27 which I thought was a little pricy. The fish was fresh but I was not impressed with the ramen soup. It was quite bland and the chashu was mostly fat. Everything was served in flimsy plastic containers and I was given a tiny plastic spoon for the soup, even though I dined in. The service was friendly and I would love to give a higher rating, but I left disappointed and only finished about half of the soup. On the positive side, I appreciated the kitschy Japanese
