You're looking for help and we're here for you with locations in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties. We have a small staff committed to help you on your journey; the caring people you meet on your first visit will be the same caring people you will see on every visit. We understand that recovery is personal; we do not believe in the "one size fits all" policy that you'll find elsewhere.

The foundation of counseling is building a trusting relationship and you can TRUST that the staff is dedicated to your well-being and will be there to assist you on your journey to recovery. Our program works. We have helped thousands of patients in their recovery; we can help you as well. Trust us.
Services
The McIntyre Family and its staff have been committed to the needs of those suffering from substance abuse and addition since before the doors of the McIntyre Center opened in 1985. With nearly 200 years of combined experience in counseling and education the staff understands the importance of working with each person on an individual basis to create a treatment plan that works for that person.
The assessment is an in-depth interview regarding person's substance use. A complete history of substance use and issues relating to substance use are gathered and reviewed by our counseling team. This allows us to provide the most accurate diagnosis and recommendations that will best serve the client.
The purpose of the treatment program at the McIntyre Center is twofold: First, to assist clients in defining their relationship with substance use and second, to empower clients to make positive lifestyle decisions/changes. We strive to provide a therapeutic environment that includes ongoing assessment, education, group & individual counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
The McIntyre Center is excited to announce we are now offering a full array of adolescent outpatient services. The website will be updated soon to provide you with more detailed information about these services. In the meantime, please contact our office by email using the Contact Us tab on the menu or call 440-887-1100 with any questions or to register for any of our services.
MDAP - McIntyre Drug Awareness Program - A 6 hour program that includes education, group & individual counseling. We can customize any education program related to alcohol or drugs to be as general or specific as needed. Our education programs can focus on alcohol, marijuana (including synthetic cannabinoids), prescription drugs, opiates, heroin, cocaine, or any combination of those substances.

It's no spa if that's what your expecting for 475$ and besides your there because you f'd up any how! Food was ehh but you can thank covid for that(3meals, great coffee, bottled water). But overall the course was informative and other than a few rules during meetings and 72 hour confinement to the hotel it was what it was an easier way to serve my time for screwing up! Breaks were plentiful. Met some nice people and Bill and Art were cool and knowledgeable! Don't believe any of the negative reviews from earlier, they are fair!! And if you need extra care, chances are you already knew it before

The 72 hour D.I.P. program I attended was great. Bill and Mary are wonderful people and counselors. The program McIntyre puts on is incredibly informative and overall helpful, providing information I will use in the future to insure I'm not in this trying position again. Certain questions in their background exams and assessments are not worded the best and can be misinterpreted so if you're unsure definitely ask beforehand.
Overall I would recommend McIntyre center to someone in a similar position.

Need new workers. The person operating the driver intervention program doesn't know anything. He can't tell the difference between a sober person and an addict. Only worried about making money off of people.

Honestly unsure of all these bad reviews because I attended their Driver Intervention Program recently in Westlake. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It was by far the most affordable. The staff was amazing and made the whole experience great. It was informative and they also made it fun at the same time. The speakers they had come in were all wonderful also. I’ve kept contact with a few people I met there in the program who all feel the same. It was an overall great experience and I would recommend this center to anyone looking in the DIP program!!! Thank you McIntyre Center!!!

The staff is HIGHLY INCOMPETENT and by NO means are capable of doing ANY health care services such as alcohol rehabilitation or worst yet, dual diagnosis!! My screening report had TONS of mistakes (including grammar AND spelling mistakes), misquotes and downright incorrect information! They showed mostly movies that were main stream movies about people that drank and only ONE helpful movie that explained the disease concept of alcoholism! The rest of the time, we sat and discussed other people’s problems and the group gave suggestions mostly while the counselor (IF you can call him that) sat

I hope you read my review. Because of the terrible reviews that are on here I went to the 72 hour DIP class in a complete panic. I was worried that they would find a way to make sure I needed additional service upon completion... I was worried the whole time we were there that all they would do was wag their fingers at us and tell us how stupid we are. I also went under the assumption that everyone in there would be terrible people. I was wrong on all 3 counts. Bill and his crew were very nice and non judgemental. I was not recommended for extra services and I learned that almost everyone in there

There were several sightings of bed bugs at this run down dirty hotel
where the program took place.Bill, the host or program director has no feelings for any of the clients and will easily report you to your probation officer if you leave the hotel because of bed bugs and not offer a refund.
One of the clients was hysterical and crying when she discovered the bugs in her room and did not want to stay.
What a heartless piece of work he is,just to show his authority.
Continental breakfast was terrible and had powdered eggs!
Than they give you an assessment which they call a screening and before
