My Toyota had a pretty severe oil leak and Japan Auto Car did a fantastic job with a quick turn around time fixing not only that, but a few other issues as well.
They had my car fixed and back on the road within 1.5 days!
Not only that, they were clear and upfront about costs and I never felt like I was being pushed to do repairs I didn't need.
They were very transparent about the work they recommended and by going through the possible repairs to do we realized that replacing the water pump was not needed, as that had been done 2 years prior. This lowered my repair costs nearly $400!

I had some issues with my Mazda 3 and everyone at Japan auto care was responsive, kind and trustworthy. I don't know a lot about cars but I have been to many car shops and it's refreshing when you don't feel like you're getting hustled about other "problems" with your car, they diagnosed my car issues and explained clearly to me what was going on. They are fairly priced and would 10/10 recommend. If anything happens to my car again I will be coming back here. Great experience.

I love this place. I stopped going to the dealership after they put the wrong coolant in my car and denied they were the ones to do it.........even though they're the only place I've gone to for my car.
Started going here after that incident, and I'm so glad I did. Jack and the rest of the squad are the nicest people I've ever met. I don't know much about cars but they'll try their best to explain what's going on and give me reasonable prices for fixing them.

I moved to Folsom a couple of years ago and was looking for a shop that I could depend on to care for my Honda Civic (84K miles). I took my car to Japan Auto Care. It was easy to schedule a visit, the price was appropropriate and they provide clear recommendations for the required work as well as future work that may come up and what to keep an eye on. They have been around for around 30 years so their approach seems to work. Very happy with the results.

Took my Nissan Rogue there after an accident left the engine blown. My insurance company wouldn't cover it (long story - getting a lawyer), and they found a used engine with less miles than my old one - which was only 19000. They fixed me up and made the car good as new for quite a bit less than the Nissan dealer. Great guys, honest, reliable, and really cared a lot to try and help me out as much as they could. I would definitely recommend these folks. They do all kinds of work there and are very knowledgeable and diligent.

I have never seen someone disrespected my mother in my life till today. Jack is a rude and cruel man. He was yelling at my mom and was not being professional AT ALL! Do not go here unless you want to be bashed and yelled at. I honestly wish I could give negative stars due to the way he acts towards customers. This should NEVER be tolerated and there is no reason to be in business if you can not respect your customer who are paying WAY over the price of normal auto care places.

There are few things I can compare to the stress level of buying a used car. Sparing the gritty details, Jack and Matt were my heroes for taking in a short notice appointment to perform a pre-purchase vehicle inspection. In just spending a couple minutes talking with Jack, you know he is the real deal. His questions and observations only come from a lifetime of experience. That aside, Jack is easy to talk to and operates at the highest level of integrity. I would recommend him to any of my friends, and though he is located 2+hrs from where I live, I will find an excuse to use his services

They are the best. We just had our car there because of a battery problem. Jack could have sold us a new battery but I had mentioned earlier that Auto Club had recently replaced it. He informed us that it should be under warranty. Sure enough, Auto Club replaced it at no charge. Jack is honest. My entire family goes to Japan Auto Care and we have never had a problem and have always received quality work.

I am going to have to give Japan Auto Care about 7 stars. Here is my super interesting story about it, where I butcher car terminology and use caps to make things sound more important.
SCENARIO: The AC on my car stopped working most of the time. It is over 100 degrees in Folsom these days and I have a family and they don't taste good cooked. The AC would sometimes come on after about 30 or so minutes of driving. If it turned on, which was never a guarantee, it would usually continue to turn on for the next few hours even if I turned my car off and on. Most of the time it did not turn on.

Phenomenal service from moment one.
Our car needed a whole new headlight assembly and ballast due to condensation problems and we kind of put it off for awhile trying to find a good place to have it done. We also had a couple other minor things on the list and stopped in to see if they could help us, and help they did!
Jack, Michelle, and their crew were able to accurately diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all of our problems in a short amount of time with excellent communication and customer service. You can definitely tell that the shop values their work and customer relationship. No wishy

Michelle was a dream to work with. My Subaru was on the fritz with the alternator last night. A family member mentioned Japan Auto but wasn't sure if they were any good. I checked the Yelp and Google reviews and though not a ton of reviews, they were mostly very good.
