Oil filters perform a critical task in maintaining your engine's integrity. It is their job to catch and filter any foreign debris present in your crankcase, this can be tiny metal particles which are caused as a natural part of your engine's operation, or dirt/sludge that is dislodged as your engine is operating.
The lifeblood of your engine. If possible, check your oil level in the morning before you start your vehicle. Pull out the dipstick and wipe clean with a lint free cloth or paper towel. Reinsert the dipstick, remove and look at the markings on the dipstick to determine your oil level. If required, add additional oil to your crankcase.
Wiper blades, in general, should be replaced every 6-12 months, as warranted. They are important safety items as they allow you to see clearly while driving in inclement weather. They should be checked each time you clean your winshield, or at every fuel stop, for wear or cracking. Try and avoid touching the blade directly, as the oils present in your fingers will accelerate the rate at which the rubber compound breaks down.

There is nothing more valuable than having someone you trust work on your vehicles. I've used Foreign Autohaus for an Acura RDX, and two Audi Q7s. I would not go anywhere else for service as I believe in the information provided and trust that the prices here will undercut the dealership. There is a reason it's so busy here and it's completely worth the wait. Thank you for your assistance and honesty - much appreciated.

Customer service didn't start off great. Plus after all the details about my car they told me they don't work on high mileage cars. Needless to say I found a different mechanic in the area. Just so you know these guys don't touch high mileage cars or anything that people normally drive. They are high-end so I guess if you have a Ferrari or Lamborghini or something with low miles take it to them.

I called to ask if they could work on my sunroof on my 2004 Mercedes and I heard a gentleman in the background telling the person I was speaking to that “it can’t be repaired, the vehicle is too old”. First off, it’s not that old and for a car that was $80k new I would think there are people who know how to work on these, it’s not a throw away car. Second, a polite, I’m sorry, we can’t help you with this would have been just fine, but yelling in the background and saying “ the car is too old”, is unprofessional at the very least. I had other things I need worked on but I guess

This morning I learned I can't get just a regular Smog check for my 2013 Porsche Boxster S. Regular Smog stores don't have the tools, or are unwilling, to access the mid-engine. I phoned Rafael at Folsom Autohaus and learned he routinely handles these matters by preparing the vehicle for Smog inspection at his store, then taking the vehicle across the street to Smog N' Go in Folsom for the Smog check, then bringing the vehicle back to his shop and restoring the vehicle to normal. I recieved excellent, friendly, and immediate service. There is a labor charge to prepare the

The work is efficient. The prices are extremely fair. The staff is amazing. The organization/communication is incredible. But, the most important thing is that Johnny is the bomb! Nothing is more comforting than calling or walking in to any business and being given the personal touch. He remembers who we are and previous conversations. This is what comfort and confidence is all about.

"Not taking shortcuts" is not your policy. Overcharging your would be clients is. You did not even LOOK at my car or ask me if I wanted your useless up-charges. Fellow Yelpers be warned - they tried to charge me $975 for an oil change after quoting me $250 online (I'll repeat, my miles and the type of service needed were all given outright. My make and model was also given as well so why are you saying all of a sudden my car is all of a sudden "pricier" after I walk through the door? Are you trying to rip off Mercedes drivers because you assume we'll just shut up

Just had my 2010 BMW 328i serviced at Foreign Autohaus for the first time and was very impressed with the overall process they use to schedule and conduct their work. I stopped by their shop to schedule my servicing and immediately received an e-mail documenting the appointment. I also received reminders before the appointment. After I dropped off my car they sent me a detailed report (with photos) on everything they were seeing. Johnny then called to review the work bill. I was then given the opportunity to approve/decline each aspect of the work bill (really liked this option). Once the work

I never thought I'd say this in my life: you're better off going to the dealership.
The most manipulative, forceful, and deceptive mechanic in this area. My car had an oil leak so I brought my car in here for a quick repair. I figured I'd save some money by going to this local mechanic but boy was I wrong... although I told them I only want that one specific repair, they went on and scanned my whole vehicle and came up with around 6 different "problems" that all accumulated to around $2000 worth of repair.
I have been servicing my vehicle regularly and that price point

I'm new to Foreign Autohaus and quite honestly had some reservations based on a few reviews so I wanted to share my experience.
I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection this morning. I arrived about 15 minutes early expecting to wait but was I immediately greeted by a gentleman (John I think) who came outside to let me know he could assist me.
The write up was somewhat uneventful but they did a thorough job explaining what would be done and to my surprise that essentially all communication would be electronic. He explained that I would get an email then a text when the mechanic

My commute car (2007 Scion TC) is having an issue with shifting, my husband diagnosed the problem, but we don't have the time to fix it ourselves. We prefer to shop locally and support small businesses so we popped into this place. We also have a Mercedes and we hoped to find a mechanic to work on both (we usually go to the dealership for maintenance on this one). Unfortunately they DONOT work on TCs, but the owner Rafael was kind enough to refer us to a shop close by who can and did help us with our Scion. That was very kind of him and we appreciate it. We are definitely considering our

New to the area, looking for a good mechanic, just needed some rear break pads for my wife's BMW 535i Sport so I decided to give this place a try. They seem friendly when I first brought it in, they ask to leave the car for inspection early the next day so I did.
Long story short, got a call from them not long after I drop off the car and they had advise me that they had inspected the entire vehicle and there was a long list of things wrong or needs to be replaced ASAP, not to mention the check engine light is now on after the technician had taken a test drive. I told them there was no light

Amazing service, from start to finish. I've brought in my BMW 550 three times this year; for new brakes, to repair a broken regulator in the back, passenger window, and to fix the front side bumper. And I will continue to work with them moving forward for any repairs.
I am incredibly discerning of who works on my car. So, the choice to have Foreign Autohaus do the work they have was not taken lightly. From the first time I called their shop and spoke with Rafael (the owner) to my most recent visit, everyone at Foreign Autohaus, have exceeded my expectations - on all levels.
I highly recommend
